a great restaurant that needs exposure. this was my first dining experience at blackstone grille and it will not be my last. i'll get to that in a minute.
first let me say the most important aspect of attracting people to your business, restaurant or otherwise, is exposure. if you don't know grill has an "e" in the word, try finding blackstone grill's website in a yahoo search. i know, without the e in grill, it's non-existent. and with the hyphen in the website address, it just makes it that much harder to find.
now back to the review...
i called earlier in the day and made a 6:30pm reservation. upon our arrival, we were concerned for the need of a reservation since only one table was occupied. hmm...we decided to take the plunge and try it anyway.
we were quickly seated and welcomed by our waiter. he was professional, experienced in catering to our needs, and provided the perfect balance of conversation, recommendations, and etiquette. for example, upon filling my water glass, he slightly touched my fork. the waiter apologized and immediately replaced it. now that's service.
after spending what seemed like hours reviewing the robust menu, we decided on two entrees and a caesar salad. my wife ordered the chilean sea bass and i opted for the pistachio crusted chicken.
our server quickly returned with a bread basket which included a homemade crunchy flat bread and a creamy dipping sauce. the flat bread had a slight sweet taste but was perfectly complemented with the dipping sauce.
the caesar salad was a little sparse in size, but the dressing had the perfect balance of anchovy taste, garlic and parmesean. the coutons were also homemade and hard just the right amount of crunch.
our entrees arrived in a deep, over-sized, white round bowl in a layered fashion with the main protein as the crown jewel.
all i can say is omg! the sea bass and chicken were cooked perfectly and moist. our compliments to the chef!
blackstone grille is definitely on our radar for an upcoming return.
hopefully the owners will let others know about this wonderful dining spot by fixing their website issues. also, please fix the front entrance door from partially closing. it is an annoyance when someone opens an interior door and it makes a loud sound closing.
