very nice restaurant as expected from the guy who owns blackfly outfitters in jax...first class. went with a group...great service with a pro staff. thefoodwas very good as well with sizable portions...lots of clean plates and to go boxes...good sign! give it a try

phenomenal! this place is a true "diamond-in-the-rough". we went for our daughters birthday. we had 9 people in our party, and everyone in our party loved their meal. thefoodwas outstanding, and the servers and management matched! best dining experience our entire week in st. augustine. would recommend to anyone. don't judge the book by its cover. inside is awesome with great original artwork.

worst experience of my life.foodwas amazing but the service was terrible. my best friends birthday was ruined. the server forgot our order and had to re take it. they served my entree before my salad. took 45 minutes to get a beer and a bottle of wine and had to remind the waitress to get it. while informing the manager about the service, a waitress approached us and cursed and told me i was rude and disrespectful.. i am in the resaurant business and i have never had an experience this terrible. there are plenty of other great places to eat in st. augustine and i will never return to this joke of a restaurant. i do not recomend going.

i went there for my birthday and thefoodwas excellent! they are perfectly cooked! i really enjoyed every bite. we ordered fish and filet mignon. all are good! coconut brownies are the best! creme brûlée and graham cracker cake were good. i would come back again!

took my wife there for out anniversary dinner.foodwas amazing. their homemade conch fritters were delicious, the lobster mac and cheese is great and for dessert i had the ginger creme brûlée which was amazing and reminded me of a pumpkin pie taste. my wife had the double chocolate bread pudding and absolutely loved it. staff was friendly and very quick. overall great time out to dinner for the two of us.

blackfly operates an everything-from-scratch kitchen which means every sauce & dressing is prepared on site. these are incredibly flavorful & set blackfly apart from the many other restaurants in st. augustine. yes, theirfoodis as flavorful & beautifully plated as collage! i will say i’ve preferred the steak dishes over the fish both times.

thefoodis excellent, i had the pan seared mahi mahi, we also enjoyed the scallops & the alfredo. all very good and original. portions just right. there was an unhappy couple a few tables away, i think the problem was them. they were in the wrong place, would have been more happy in the giggling gator.

greatfood& atmosphere!. we loved our dinner at black fly. the restaurant is beautiful, elegant but casual. popcorn buffalo shrimp was a spicy starter, the mahi was fresh and well-prepared and the lobster mac n' cheese was chock full of lobster. best part is the menu is full of interesting items so we'll be back to try more.
