it requires your attention, and is best consumed with good friends.
there is always and atmosphere of welcome here: not like many
establishments of its kind. the clientele range from the tattooed leather and denim
knights of the road to mom and pop with 21, 30 and 40' somethin's rolled in.
the portions are generous yet the prices are not. a man and his lady could come in
or order a bs burger with home made jo jo potatoes for $7.and it would be a meal.
all the alcohol you could want is here, but so is the ice tea, the coffee and a good cup
of hot chocolate and cream. their fried chicken is like ma ma's and their spaghetti will fill you and take you home. i won't talk about sunday breakfast, because that's crowded enough and way too entertaining with the football being shown on all the big screens and i really don't want to share it. they make a mean steak and eggs though for better than you can get it through any fast food drive through. theblackstar is what a pub was meant to be.
