pricey and outdated. i had heard good reviews about therestaurantand even read online sites to see recommendations so i gave it a try. i walk in and the menu prices are that of a 5 starrestaurantbut therestaurantlooks like an old outdated seafoodrestaurantfrom 1996. but i think hey looks are deceiving i'm sure the food and service was great. while the service was fine i still found the portion size and the specials being outlandish along with poor food quality. my wife tried the grilled romaine salad as an appetizer and i tried the filet tips. the filet tips came out and were cooked perfect to temp the only problem was they tasted old and sour. for the salad, it was terrible. simply a black romaine stalk with ceasar dressing i am astonished someone would consider running something so terrible as a special. when ordering the entree we decided to try the sirloin special with shrimp. both steaks although were cooked properly were tough and tasted horrible. the menu said sirloin but my cut of meat had grissel all throughout it and my wife's had an entire layer on the bottom. on another note the steak was not marinated or season and nor was the shrimp. again not much of a special. so being unpleased with our meal and still hungry from such small portion sizes we decided to try a dessert. again horrible! we received a cake with 5 bites to it and was charged around $10 for it. long story short horrible prices and a bad attempt to be more high class than you are, plus the place is in a hidden location. save your money and go to somewhere that's worth it. you receive better and more food at chili's or apple bees than you would here!

great food and great atmosphere. i have had many girl's nights for wine and family dinner nights as well. thisrestaurantis perfect for both, family and fun. food is great...highly recommend the stuffed pork chop. one of my favorites. great live music on the weekends too. all around fun and tasty restaurant!

enjoyed cheese plate with wine. variety of cheeses served with crackers and fruit. great with wine !

what a treat! an independantrestaurantwith great food and brews!. try the house specialties along with a local brew. you will not be disappointed :-)
also enjoyed the music while dining.
this is a great neighborhood hang out!

fried oysters with pimento deviled egg. what a culinary explosion of taste! these two together are wonderful !

as always we are running around town trying to catch up with what's new on therestaurantscene. its been awhile since we visited bistro on the boulevard but it
is still obviously the chef has remained as the food consistently great.
we sat at the bar as we were only out for
a light meal, plus mel, the bartender is
always good for some laughs.
the ambience is always great, mel is
attentive and there is always a nice
crowd at the bar which makes it a fun stop.
my husband had a draft bass ale but they have several choices and are more than willing to let you try them. i had my old favorite pinot noir wine which was good.they have live music regularly now mel told us so you may want to give them a call if that's something you enjoy. regardless they play really great tunes all the time which adds to the atmosphere.
we shared a great text caprese salad which has plenty of fresh tomato and buffalo mozzarella cheese. and the olive oil and balsamic reduction drizzle was done in moderation so as not overpower the ingredients. and yes the basil was fresh.
i had a crab cake appetizer with roasted corn salsa. it was presented with two generous homemade crab cakes made with blue crab. the remoulade sauce was made by the talented chef obviously and was wonderful.
my husband had a very generous two skewers of fresh bacon wrapped shrimp.
the combination of applewood bacon and sage wrap was outrageous. the warm brie cheese sauce he served with the dish was the creation by an excellent chef and was a great compliment.
the only thing i could recommend, since
thisrestaurantoffer some great upscale
entrees is that they consider adding nice warm rolls or bread to their menu. i
have heard complaints from other customers about this and i agree. in a
restaurant of this caliber bread is
needed as compliment to the meal. also
it can be added, at an additional charge,
for dipping in the chefs wonderful appitisers, dressings and sauces. the
restaurant has plenty of parking is spit
shine clean and it's a wonderful stop.

i'd also like to add that our waiter was very friendly and attentive and you could tell he was stressed about our food being late.

i hesitantly liked thisrestaurant. the food was good but lukewarm. our apps came out quickly but our entrees took over 30 mins to arrive after our apps were finished. our waiter apologized and blamed a small kitchen that was slammed with a lot of orders at once. therestaurantwas only half full so not sure about that. i think that maybe my husbands order , stuffed pork chops, was burned and they did a do over. his chop was very hot but the sides were cool. we will give them a second chance because it was tasty. also , i'd get rid of all the tv's, only put them in the bar area. aren't needed as it's an attractive restaurant.
