sad but true. i had the privilege of going to this fine dining restaurant for lunch today and i have to say, it was one of the worst experiences i have had at any restaurant at this price class.
it is my understanding that usually, bread is offered when you first arrive, however, we didn't get any until we asked for some after the meal.
i ordered the 10 oz filet mignon, cooked "medium-rare". the first cut i took at it was medium to medium-well at best and it was just like shoe leather.
when i told the waiter about this he asked me to cut through the middle and, i have to say, that it was indeed "medium-rare".
the trouble is, regardless how it was cooked, the meat was tough as shoe leather, even their serrated knives had difficulty cutting through the meat. the vegetable (some kind of spinach) was so-so, and the mashed potatoes were nothing special.
i have had far better experiences at morton's, ruth's cris and flemming's... don't waste your time or money going here. over all, i think it sucked (and btw, my college ordered some kind of salad with chicken and the chicken was overcooked and dry).
avoid this place like the plague.
