recently i visited a cafe near gariahat... its named as "bianco".... as soon as i entered the cafe, their ambience was very nice. it was all covered in white. decorated with paintings, having a rocking chair by a side.... i must tell that a new instagram worthy cafe is up in town. now coming to the food i had. i went there to cover their new menu. they have introduced different combos starting at rs. 199 only. the combos are :

1. hazelnut cappuccino with tonkatsu chicken sandwich and fries combo - 199

2. kung pao chicken with egg noodles and kimchi salad and a fresh lime combo - 249

3. chicken a la king noodle/rice of choice french pickled salad and peach iced tea combo - 299

4. thai red curry vegetarian with kimchi salad and classic mojito combo - 249

5. chilli mustard fish hakka noodle combo iced tea comb - 299

6. chilly chicken stuffed parantha and iced tea combo - 249

7. orientalboat- 999

the most unique among all the combos is the oriental boat... it consists of four kinds of items that are chicken satay in peanut sauce, teriyaki chicken, schezwan fiery chicken and mandarin chicken. my recommendation would be the egg noodles and kungpao chicken,chilly mustard fish with hakka noodles and the chilly chicken stuffed paratha. food was really.i totally loved it....❤️❤️

i was at ekdalia, so decided to drop in at this cafe, looked amazing from outside. they recently launched their special menu, dedicated to the bengali new year month.
the ambience is so calm and gives a peaceful vibe. i specially like the walls and ceilings beautifully decorated with creativity. love the hanging plates and cups on the walls and ceilings. the interior is white that gives you a good positive and calm feeling.
now about the food, i tried out a lot of items, specially from their new menu. the combos start from 199/-. that's amazing! besides, the orientalboatis another item that is the main attraction. it's beautiful!. this has chicken items of different flavours plated very well on theboatstructure.

if you're here, i would suggest you to have the chilli chicken paratha and the mustard fish. it's a must try ✨.
and a shoutout to the staff behaviour. they are very humble and courteous. has a polite attitude towards every customer.
i would highly recommend this place.

the cafe is easily one of the better looking places now serving affordable combos starting at ₹199! this super chic place is serving some delicious combos at a very reasonable price.
we tried:

after hearing so many good reviews and over hyped ratings i finally made it to this place to try their famous chickenboat⛵ and i really don't know from where to start.... well here i go:

1. highly expensive
2. all the items in the chickenboatwere below average.
3. there was a weird smell coming from the chicken wings and it seemed it wasn't fresh at all.
4. i also tried there hazelnut frappe which tasted like normal cold coffee.

for ambience i will give them 4 star
quality of food 1 star
taste 1 star

the only item which tasted good in the chickenboatwas the salad that was served with it.


moral of the story please don't go there to waste your money.

i decided to head over to bianco last sunday post rave reviews from a friend. the seafoodboatcame highly recommended so ordering that was a no-brainer. and it turned out to be a winner - both visually and for the taste buds. generous portions of two kinds of fish, both well made, a crunchy & spicy basket of squids, some seriously large prawns and fries with four kinds of dips. you pretty much don't need anything else if you are tucking into this.

i did however try the vietnamese rice rolls - both chicken and prawns. super light and full of flavour. and that dip is an umami bomb!

their mojito mocktails come with 'gondhoraj' lemons and are definitely worth a try. we wrapped with some 'nolen gur' ice cream and a perfectly rich espresso.

their service was very pleasant, place is spick and span - and on a side note, they have some really cool crockery and cutlery (googled it and seems to be some brand designed in europe though manufactured here).

i found the price pretty reasonable given both quality and quantity of food. plan to come back for their prawn malaikari risotto which i've heard is worth several extra helpings!

thanks to pujo pandal construction the entrance is currently slightly tucked away - but they have large signs in front so you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. check it out for sure :)

each and every single dish was lip-smacking in its own way and it couldn't have been any better.
courteous and friendly staff who would suggest you the best dishes in the menu. last but definitely not the least, a complementary dessert (apple cinnamon pudding) was served to us which deserves special mention.
if you are looking for a beautiful café with a convenient location, then this is your place!

this cafe is located at the heart of south kolkata, bang opposite to ekdalia evergreen club. the ambience is so calm and peaceful that you'll want to visit the place over and over again. be it making it your workstation or chilling there with your friends and family, it's the perfect place for every mood and occasion.
i visited the cafe on the day when their oriental menu just launched. the dishes i tried:

1. som tum salad- it is a thai raw papaya preparation to soothe your taste buds for the main course.

2. spring fancy- a sweet and refreshing mocktail with orange, lime, cranberry, mint mixture.

3. orientalboat(must try!)- this is a giantboatserved with indonesian satay, fiery schezwan wings, crispy mandarin chicken, grilled teriyaki chicken accompanied by 4 types of dips and a box of french fries.

4. tempura fried prawns with teriyaki sauce is the best dish i've tried at the cafe till now. the prawns are so juicy and mouth-watering, and together with the dip tastes heavenly. it's a 100/100 and would highly recommend!

5. to settle the taste i had the moroccan tea at the end which is really good. the way they present the tea and pour in the cup looks dreamy.

if you haven't visited this cafe yet, do visit soon and you'll not regret for sure.

located just besides ekdalia evergreen club..a two storeyed newly built cafe with nice ambience , comfortable seating arrangements , quality food and very good hospitality.
we went there specially to try their chickenboatwhich was making rounds in different social media.but we couldn't stop there as we also had mint mojito,some frappe and probably chocolate mud pie as dessert in the end.
while in bianco you just can't miss theirboatsection,be it chicken or seafood. quantity is huge,more than enough for 2 people. beverages were too good as well as the dessert specially the garnishing and presentation.had an wonderful experience over there.

we ordered chickenboatfirst and was so much impressed by the quality that we ordered seafoodboattoo. now if you're 4 it's adequate but for 3 that'll be a tough job 😜 but we managed. we requested chef to replace our grilled prawn with some other item as we were allergic to prawns.

staffs are very polite and friendly they provide genuine recommendation accepts feedback and pass it on to the chef directly.

visited this cafe on sunday(04.07.2021). loved the ambience and the hospitality of the members. we opted for nolen gur cold coffee, fish & chips and the ultimate chickenboatwhich consisted - chicken popcorn, grilled chicken, brazilian chimichurri chicken, chicken satay, french fries, dips and salad. theboatis a perfect starter for 3-4 people. the staffs were courteous and helpful. the manager personally visited us and ask for a review. would like to visit next time for the seafood boat, and the chicken tikka wrap😋😋

this bistro is located at ballygunge, just opposite ekdalia evergreen club.

the first thing that attracts you about this place is the beautiful eye soothing decor.
the staff are very professional.
now,the most important thing! the food!

bianco has some amazing unique and tasty items in their menu!

❤️ nolen gurer cold coffee:- thick and sweet! with loads of caramel sauce and scoop of ice cream!

❤️ bianco's chicken boat:- it's more like a piece of art! this huge woodenboatcompromises of various chicken starters with their special in-house dips and sauces, salad and fries. it's perfect for 2 to 3 persons to share.

❤️ augratin a la bianco:- this vegetarian dish is loaded with cheese and has a hint of truffle. very tasty!

❤️ bianco's bon bon triffle:- this beautiful dessert is loaded with ice cream,choco chips,gems and all the sugery goodness.

overall,a great experience!

one of those cafes where i left with a huge ear to ear smile on my face. the staff, the owner and everyone is really polite, friendly and helpful. every dish we tried was one of their signature dishes and each of them was just perfect. the seafood blanket is really tasty, the tartar sauce and the chef's special sauce went perfectly with the seafood blanket and it tasted really really good. the bbq pork ribs were also perfectly cooked and the barbeque sauce was just flawless. the hazelnut hot chocolate was a delight and definitely the best i've had in a long time and i am someone who tries hot chocolates wherever i go. and finally coming to the masterpiece - rasmalai tart. it has to be the most ingenious dessert i've had in a long long time. the tart base was just the right amount of crunchy and the dish gave the perfect sweet end to a delightful evening. this place is a must try and not once again and again. i look forward to visiting again asap.

second visit:
it's almost nearly impossible to leave the same cafe with an even bigger ear to ear smile the second time because you have very high expectations from the first time, but cafe bianco did not only live up to those expectations but also increased our expectations manifold for our third visit (maybe?, no definitely!). starting off with the beverages: both hazelnut swiss mochachilo with vanilla icecream and latte hazelnut had the perfect tinge of a hazelnut flavour and tasted really good, and are really good drinks to start off your evening with. coming to the entree: the brazilian chimichuri wings is a must try, the sauces they serve at cafe bianco have a certain tangy taste that's pretty much unparalleled at any other place in kolkata. every sauce i have tried at bianco has mesmerised me and the chimichuri was no exception. it is definitely a must try for anyone who loves chicken wings. in the main dish, we tried our servers recommendation the bianco's ultimate seafood boat, and my god was it surprisingly good. it comes in this literal woodenboatand alongwith prawns, squids and fishes, again, the four sauces served make it a really beautiful piece of art. it definitely is a must try but disclaimer: it's difficult to finish it in one sitting if you have had two drinks and q beautiful entree earlier and are saving up some space for a dessert. coming to the dessert: the caramel custard is a piece of art, it is really soft and has a satin silky smooth finish to it. it's the perfect way to end a beautiful evening. alongwith really courteous staff and beautiful music and ambience cafe bianco is a must try. i'm not sure how this place is not bustling with crowd every single day yet, but i'm kind of happy that it's this quaint and beautiful neighborhood cafe. much like that song you share with your loved one and keep going back to, cafe bianco is this beautiful little place i will definitely keep going back to.
