excellent breakfast. try the bev special and just try to finish it. one word of warning though... if you go on a sunday get there before 11:00 or you'll be waiting outside for atableto open for a little while.

wanted to order a breakfast to go...walked in and a host pointed me to a corner without a word. there was a takeout box on atablewith a bill on it, (assumed it was mine?) the owner/manager and several servers walked right by me. i finally motioned to the host and asked if someone would help me. the manager/owner walked up to me and stared at me. i said i was here to pick up a takeout. she said "okay" and continued to look at me. i said "is it ready?" and she said "we'll tell you when it's ready" very rudely. i pointed to the togo box and said "is that mine?" and she told me not to be rude. i said i was leaving and she said "don't come back!" uhhhh don't worry "beverly", i won't.

called back after i left and asked to talk to the manager. when she finally came to the phone and i said who i was she said "well this is beverly and i don't care what you have to say!" i've heard good things about the food but would rather eat cardboard than eat at a place that treats customers this way.

great breakfast. came here on the request of my brother and his girlfriend! we were not disappointed! i wish we would have hit it one more time for that waffle! great breakfast, incredible service, and the fresh preserves on thetablei really wanted to steal!! you will not be disappointed!

i ate breakfast with "beverly". over labor day weekend, our party of six was searching for a reasonably priced restaurant for breakfast. we decided on beverly at first because of the location (just down the road from our resort), but clearly, our taste buds were the real brainiacs; who would deny a fulltableand homemade marmalade isn't a good choice?

don't let the parking lot fool you; when you walk into the beverly's you are quickly aware that you have made the correct choice; with everytablefull, the slight wait (about 8 mins.) was not an issue, once ourtablewas full of: crepes, french toast, bacon, and parsley topped biscuits and gravy. we were sold at first bite.

we would certainly go back in an instant.

crossete is crap. tried out beverleys...guess because of all the rave reviews. however, we were definitely disappointed. most of the reviewers must be on drugs because there is nothing at all special about mediocre egggs, watery ham, overcooked bacon and surly, smart-mouthed waitress who kept patronisingly calling us "dear", "sweeties", "darling" and then ignoring us by not coming back totablewith butter, not checking if we wanted anything else, ignoring to bring us our bill....on the way out, she actually stopped my husband and tapped the bill to tell him we forgot the tip. oh no we didn't! nobody gets a tip for ignoring their customers and patronising us like care patients in an old-aged peoples' home. this place is not special, it's pathetic. forget it, get over it, and move on.

great breakfast spot. this place draws the crowds for a reason - you'll be hard pressed to find a better breakfast in south pinellas. they have an extensive menu with plenty of options - including healthy alternatives. the food is always fresh and the portions are huge. the pecan pancake is so tasty - and it fills the plate. the hollandaise sauce is excellent and if you like hollandaise there are about 10 different items that include it. the only downside is the grits are run of the mill and not as good as they should be. the place is kind of small so don't expect a lot of room, it's not uncomfortable, but don't be surprised if yourtableis inches from another. the waitresses constantly circulate with coffee - ensuring your cup is never empty. beverly, the owner, is always there and the waitresses have been there forever. this means the place is run well, they work well as a team, and they recognize and value their regulars.
