better than sex a dessert restaurant

amazing!!!! a must-go in key west!

wasn't impressed by this place at all. husband (owner) flies around either delivering dishes to tables or standing around staring at customers. a bit weird

mother of owner is sweet and adds a special touch to the experience by telling the history of the place.

now the desserts, meh. nothing to write home about. this is not a dessert to pay $13.00 for! these desserts are way too pricey! we got the twist and stout & better then sex desserts with drinks and total bill $50! expensive and not worth it! now if you want to experience it and give them your money then go right ahead but you were warned!
btw- drinks were so overpriced and nothing to them...trust me i purchased an $11.00 drink that was nasty! menu doesn't state it but if they convince you to dip your glass in their "homemade" caramel it's another $3.00. you can only taste it for a second because it's running down your glass creating a huge mess.
if you are eating dinner out purchase their desserts and don't go here!

this place is ridiculous – in a really amazing, awesome, slightly dirty way. if you go to key west you really need to give this place a go. well, let me clarify, if you are easily offended by sexual innuendo, slightly naughty descriptions of food and beverages, or are one of those weird people that hate sugar, well, you probably shouldn’t go. go and do what ever it is that makes you happy. i’m sure you have an exciting life. if you are like me, and you love your food in all shapes and sizes, then make sure you put this place on your to-do list. katie and i had booked in to visit for dessert after our lovely meal at the flaming buoy filet co., we figured 10:30pm would be a good time, apparently they are open to 12am so that gave us plenty of time. anyway i guess i should get on with describing the experience. it’s going to be difficult to review this place and keep it pg, but i’ll g

make this a "must!" in key west. oh, the keys to love. well, at better than sex, it literally is. whenever we visit key west, my husband and i always make the effort to dine and have a glass of one of their wines, paired with dessert, and we're never disappointed. it's a "must" when making your key west agenda. go here after hitting the pier at sunset and/or after dinner - you'll be glad you did!

better than dinner!. just go there....seriously! quite reading and go! we went 2 times when we were down there last week. pretty tight for 6 people, really tight for 8 people, but they reluctantly accomidate us. don't let the pretentious, bitchy hostess negatively impact your expirience. it could if you are not careful.

the food is phenomenal ....we tried everything on the menu, and nothing disappointed. possibly the interpretation was different than what we had anticipated, but it was well executed even if it was misunderstood. best item was the grilled cheese.

all the rimmed glasses are fun to sample, but make sure you have afew drinks before you arrive. otherwise you might care more about others tasting your rim...

would love to talk with owner about a franchise, as i doubt mrs. personality who i handed my card to did much with it.

oh, i should tell you that once we got past the hostess, the rest of the staff was very pleasant. adios and i hope you try it soon!

the desserts are great. the drinks are fun- but even if you do not do alcohol-this is the place to go after any meal anywhere else. romantic spot

love the romance. we've been to this restaurant in the previous location and to the new place which is much nicer. the staff is always polite and informed. the ambiance is perfect. the desserts exquisite. love the new tablet menus. this is a perfect "10". be sure to make reservations.

.....but it nearly is ......... lights are low, red velvet drapes, solo guitar singer, table conversation suggestions......romantic, then add the jungle fever and a liquor in a chocolate rimmed brandy snifter and it's pure ecstasy!!!!!
one must take special note to the prices - it adds to the flavor of better than sex.

i had driven by this restaurant on previous trips and had always wanted to stop in. i am so glad i finally made it! upon walking in the staff was very kind and gracious. we were taken to a dark back booth and given an ipad to peruse the menu. the decor and music helped set the mood. everything was divine. we ordered the red velvet cheesecake and the cookie pie. to. die. for. the chocolate rimmed coffee and caramel rimmed root beer float were heaven. i cannot recommend this place enough. it's for small parties, 4 and below so grab your partner and enjoy this sinful sultry destination!!

food-wise, i wasn’t quite sure the restaurant lived up to it’s name. but then i realized — this place wasn’t just about the food. it was about the experience. whether it makes you feel decadent, mysterious, or just a little bit guilty, the experience itself is uniquely pleasurable.

a-mazing! we both had an cream "in my" coffee with a white chocolate rim. delicious and lots of fun to lick the rim! (no pun intended) i had jungle fever. the chocolate cake was moist and oozed chocolate goodness. my husband had the missionary crisp. it tasted like mom's apple pie, but better! recommend - reservations a must!

they are closed right now...on vacation. call before you go there. i was disappointed.

i made reservations for my boyfriend's birthday. he was very impressed with the theme, the waitress, and the desserts. our favorite was the red velvet! it was worth it. if we decide to go back to key west, we would definitely make reservations here again.

worth the wait! an hour wait but they text you when the table is ready, & held it until we could make our way back. romantic atmosphere, and a wide variety of dessert style drinks. i loved my apple crisp. lots of apples and big scoop of ice cream. very yummy.

had a great experience at better than sex. very cosy place, good drinks, and great desserts. waitress was very attentive and took great care of us.
