love the toffee oatmeal cookie. it should be on the menu year round.

the grilled cheese sandwiches are great and live up to the hype. we found this place by googling "best grilled cheese in johnson county" and while i've not tried them all, it is hard to imagine a better one. while the sandwiches are great, it is a little pricey for what you get, and with baked goods right in front of you as you are ordering, it is easy to run up a big tab. still, would highly recommend this place.

the grilled cheese was pretty good and the tomato soup was, too. the staff was pretty nice and then prices were alright for what you get. the bakery part had some interesting options that looked yummy. if you're in the area go ahead and to it.

i stop there every chance i get.  my wife would literal divorce me if i did not.  she loves, i mean loves their lemon cake.  if i was within 10 miles of best regards and did not stop.  well, i might as just not go home.  then, when i get there i go into this trance, because i love cookies.  so, i get the daily special because i know all the sandwiches are good, no great.  then i can have my cookie.  i eat one there, one in the car, another in the drive way and i take two inside.  one for my bride and one for after dinner.  yummy.

overall nice place. it is perfect on a cold day if you want to get a hot soup and grilled cheese like you'd make at home. the staff was super friendly and it just has a small town feel in an otherwise big city.

a very good special with friendly service. i ordered the weekly $5.99 lunch special (the kramer grilled ham and cheese sandwich, a side, and a choice of dessert) at the counter. i upgraded the side to a cup of soup, and added a fountain drink for a total with tax of about $9.00. my order was delivered to my table in about ten minutes. the bread was delicious, and perfectly toasted. the small amount of ham was tasty, and there was plenty of cheese. the tomato soup was nicely seasoned. the dining area was clean, and no music was playing. the service was exceptional (very friendly and helpful).

wow!. super disappointed. i wanted to send a basket to my 81 year old morher for her birthday. when i called, all the sales person wanted to know was how much i was willing to spend. they rushed to get my credit card and delivery information and did not ask what i might want to send. i tried to give them an idea of what she might like on their menu. when i hung up, i had buyer's remorse. i called the next day to cancel the order. i even told them that i had felt uncomfortable about the purchase because i was rushed and because of this i would just cancel the order and all they said was "ok!" after almost 40 years in the service industry, i am bsolutely blown away that a family owned business would not try to salvage a customer. i will never go back.

very very small serving size. every month i try a new restaurant with several friends and each gets a taste of every menu item ordered. we chose best regards on the recommendation of their fabulous grilled cheese sandwich varieties. though we had been led to believe the prices were great, we all felt the prices were very high for what we got. none of the sandwiches could have had more than 1 ounce of meat. the flavors were good, but the portobello roast beef had just 2 thin slices of beef and the meatball grilled cheese looked like a tablespoon of ground beef smashed on each 1/2. a chocolate ganache cookie listed on the menu to come with the chicken panini, but that was switched out for a small square of the butter cake. when asked why, the counter person said they wanted people to try different things. having never been there before the chocolate cookie would have been the 'new' that was preferred. we might go back, but only for the daily special - that seems to be a reasonable price.

okay but not exciting. we were looking forward to trying this cafe as they do offer a gluten free bread so a grilled cheese would be possible for me unlike most places around town. i also wanted to try the gf brownie. we got there a little after noon and it was not crowded. the brownies were all gone already and none of the chocolates seen on the website were available either.
we stood in line to order, there were menus on the counter but you could not get to them as the gentlemen in line before us were blocking them. perhaps a stand with menus available would be a good idea...we ordered sandwiches with chips. the counter man took our money and names and handed our drinks over. i had to ask for the sweetners, lids, etc which were elsewhere in the dining room and you would not know that on your first visit. the menu stated that a side was " sea salt" chips so we had ordered those. when the lady brought our sandwiches with no chips i asked about them, and she gestured to the far side of the counter and said we were supposed to pick them up ourselves,
my husband had the ham sandwich, and he said it was good but had the least amount of deli-sliced ham we have seen served in a long time! my avocado and cheese on the gluten free sourdough was tasty but tiny. i am used to the gf breads being a bit smaller than regular bread, but i am tired of paying full price for a serving half the size that everyone else gets..we will probably go back if nearby, but would not drive across town for this one.

best soups in johnson county. after hearing about best regards bakery & cafe on toby tobin's radio show - i had to check it out. it is the only place i will eat now. the breads are wonderful, the soups - none better, and the pot pie crust make an already warm treat to die for.

i drive 60 miles (one way) for my potato soup fix.

artisan bread!. the rosemary artisan bread is amazing. the cinnamon rolls to die for and the chocolate brownie is the best i have ever had. lunch is new and the vegetarian grilled cheese with avocado was wonderful.

phone number and review. the phone number listed above does belong to best regards. i just called it. i am not sure why joanne posted that. best regards is definately in business and they are wonderful. everything i have tried is very tasty and fresh. i have gone several times and each time i am pleased. the sandwiches - including the gourmet grilled cheeses, the salads, the soups, the bakery items all are tasty. if you haven't gone to best regards bakery and cafe.... what are you waiting for???

must try. amazing food! everything is from scratch (bread included), original recipes and a they have a true passion to please the customer. i have tried the soups, gourmet cheese sandwiches, salads and mmmmmmmmmmmmm the pastries and deserts!

best of the best. my favorite lunch spot is best regards bakery & cafe. so many good things to choose from. the baked potato soup is the best i've ever had. i didn't think a grilled cheese, a meatball sandwich or a french dip sandwich could taste this good. the special blended chocolate is my favorite thing. it's all yummy!! i would recommend best regards to anyone.
