overall i was more than pleased with my gluten free lunch at bella monica. now that i know where it is i plan to eat there as much as i can when in raleigh. there are many more dishes i'm eager to try. from start to finish the food was tasty and enjoyable to eat. i felt full when i left and it takes a lot to fill me up! the prices where a little high, but when i find good, safe food i don't mind paying for it.

they have the most delicious gf pizza. i live in atlanta and was so happy to find their gf pizza (which is amazing!) in the grocery store.

overall a good experience, with good pizza, just not the best. with all of the other great reviews, i almost feel guilty for not chiming in. so first, the positives.

yes, service is excellent, atmosphere is nice, prices are reasonable, wine list is excellent, and yes, the place is pretty busy so reservations are recommended.

now then, the pizza - very good, fresh ingredients, love the thinner crust. still, as a pizza hound, i've had better, sorry, i just have. especially left over - this one was a lot better fresh, but didn't stand up well to the left over test, and i love leftover pizza.

will we go back? absolutely. with all the good things going, i have to try a regular meal, like lasagna or something like that. then, i'll come back and review again, hopefully join the rest of the crowd with an over the top positive experience to relate. : )

excellent gf restaurant. this is the most gf friendly restaurant i have found in town. outstanding gf awareness and selection.

pretty good pizza, but overpriced. we were in a hurry and decided to have pizza. we explained that we had a limited amount of time and the waitress said she would rush our order, before 6 on a weekday. then she just disappeared for a very long time. our pizza finally came after about 30 minutes. it was good, but you can get better pizza elsewhere for a more reasonable price. i will give the place a second chance and try some pasta next time.

amazing gluten free menu!!! i love coming to eat at bella monica. while some italian restaurants have gluten free options, bella has a full gluten free menu that includes bread, ravioli, baked ziti, desserts, flatbreads and more. i love that bread and salad are included with the meal. other places only offer a gf pasta and that's it. bella is a bit pricier but not so expensive for what you get. service is always on point and it can get crowded but they are pretty organized and the staff is very courteous and knowledgable. this is definitely my go to spot when i want to have a special night out. the wine selection is great here too and the traditional menu is delicious too (at least from what my family has told me!) i definitely suggest trying out bella you will not be dissappinted with your experiencd here!

had the manicotti and chopped salad, along with the ciabatta bread and it was a yummy meal! i love the homemade dressing as well.

great food!. food is absolutely delicious. this is a great date place however it is a very small place so expect to wait a long time to be seated if you do not have reservation. i had the pizza and it was packed with a lot of flavor. wine selection was also great. i had a glass of riesling.

good, but a bit over-loved by some i think. i never had a bad meal here and the service is good too, but i also never had anything fab. except maybe the butternut squash soup.

best italian bella monica. starting with the blue crab brushette, caesar salad (with fresh white anchovies), meat lasagne and fresh cannoli's that i haven't tasted since my childhood in new york...the food is outstanding!!! the service is excellent with a warm and inviting attention to detail. i highly recommend dining at bella's even for one of their yummy antipasti and a glass or two of wine from their extensive wine list.

flour-less chocolate decadence. called “chocolate amore”, this cake was rich and fudgey, served with raspberry glace, a ripe strawberry, and a sprig of fresh mint.

roasted beet and goat cheese salad. very disappointing. roasted beets not roasted. almost no dressing and very meager serving for $10.

also had the manzo flatbread. delicious! worth the money.

wonderful!. the food was fabulous - some of the best lasagne i have ever eaten! the atmosphere was great, too! i highly recommend it!

overrated. i can't see how this place has such positive reviews. bella monica is pretentious and overpriced. the service is horrible and the food is mediocre. i've honestly had better italian dishes at chains like olive garden or carrabba's.
