what's happened to this place?. breakfast yesterday was in boerne, at the bear moon cafe on main street, which until this stop has always been a favourite of mine. this time, though, i found the coffee too strong and the scones disappointing. the cranberry scone was like eating bread, with a heavy but not crunchy crust; the buttermilk scone was like eating cake. day-old cake. i hope this is just an abberation.

amazing. i go to breakfast almost every morning here. the pigs are beyond delicious and the petit fours are absolutely to die for. every item offered is of such high quality, and is reasonably priced!

delicious apple pie. stopped in after walking around town one afternoon. apple pie is my favorite and theirs did not disappoint.

i’ve been here many times over the years and the food never disappoints. the bakery case has so many delicious choices. the latest lunch i had was a grilled cheese and it was so delicious. on saturday’s they have a breakfast buffet and everything looked really good. this is not a place for a large group, but it’s great to grab something to go or for a quick lunch. i highly recommend saving room for a cookie or cupcake.

unorganized and bad service. unfriendly staff, rude waitress named melanie and all we wanted was breakfast buffet and coffee. they made my husband and i feel like we were making their lives miserable for not knowing how the place operates. very confusing and chaotic on a late saturday morning. felt cramped and unwelcomed. 13.00 buffet was overpriced.

very disappointed! tried to buy a birthday cake for my wife and them hold it until we finished shopping. they would not do it! management needs to learn customer is always right!

six of us showed up about 9:30 am. it was crowded but we were seated quickly. most of us went for the buffet with good results. toasting their own good bread was my favorite part. if the eggs were instant i didn't notice. coffee wasn't as good as i remembered. i really appreciated the senior discount.

finally found a great spot in boerne! great breakfast and lunch!. boenre is starting to get a bad reputation for restaurants, from those awful "you deserve delicious" restaurants that keep opening one place and closing in another to the lack good service anywhere else that has halfway decent food. we were so relived to finally find some good food and good service in boerne. we love the bear moon, like really we go maybe twice a week. the breakfast buffet is everything you want in a buffet and even has a nice sampling of some of their pastry and kolaches. my husband and i are pretty partial to the deluxe oatmeal, it is creamy and filling. lunch is also great. they have some amazing homemade soups and sandwiches, and my husband agrees with their claim to best caesar salad in boerne. they also make some mean cappuccinos! they get a little crowded in the morning and $12 for a buffet seems steep till you try the quality of the food. we have never had bad service or food, so far it is our favorite restaurant in boerne.

totally worth it for the pastry; half way worth it for the sit down continental but the experience is spoiled by the big crowds and the options are not worth the price; for the coffee you're far better off doing starbucks.

i like the bakery case the restaurant is very average. avoid the breakfast buffet.

iced sugar cookies. every time i come into boerne i stop by and get some of the sugar cookies with the yummy heavy icing. they are the best!
