the staff here are about aboustley lovely. the food is delicious! the salad is very vibrant and beautiful. the parmi is a reasonable portion size and the toppings are flavoursome

belgium hot chocolate.. great meal great service great value.

the belgian hot chocolate, i am not sure if it was more delicious than the wonderful waiter charlie, who was equally hot and saucy.

i going to try the baci gelato next time, hopefully with charley spoon feeding me. i am not sure the man is devilish or a saint.

don't waste ur time and money. service was prompt, but there were only 2 or so other tables on saturday night at 7pm
bought 4 meals plus an entree. the garlic bread was the only food we enjoyed. the chicken and mushroom risotto (good luck finding any chicken) was inedible , the parmigiana was undercooked and soggy (the worst we've ever had).
complete waste of money.

our first meal at balthazar tonight has been excellent, great food and first class service
a good selection of wines and you must try the chocolate belgian waffle for desert

amazing! sunday morning breakfast. was too lazy to cook this morning. it was busy but plenty of tables. no loud music so perfect to have a chat. food was amazing and such a good price and they're really generous with the portions. nonna's eggs oh my god! to die for salty chorizo balanced with yummy napoletana sauce and creamy cheese and perfect poached eggs. the big mans the lot breakfast looked amazing and he really enjoyed it as it had lots of well cooked bacon.
go here. it's great.

love this place. friendly staff and great coffee and food. been here for breakfast and lunch and have been impressed with everything i've ordered. love the paninis and pasta especially

surprised to see just 38 reviews so far..... for a place that's been doing so well for 4+ years.
i rated 4/5 purely bcos this is the only cafe besides sumac where you can get good coffee, in the vicinity until 9pm.
the staff consistently provide a friendly service. draws a lot of family crowd from the nearby retirement villages.
latte is the best bet. most of the breakfast options are good esp lepinja. pizzas and risottos are very average.i have never tried steak there but my friends love the sea food platter and salmon.

balthazar cafe is like the book on the shelf with no cover but an unbelievable story. this place is a hidden gem. went down to foodland to buy some fruit and veg. didn't think i would be getting world class service, food and conversation (thank you christian and nigel). very nice cafe

my husband and i visit balthazar cafe regularly and have never left disappointed. the pizza, pasta and main dishes are excellent and very plentiful for the price. garlic bread and salad very fresh also. the owner/ manager is very warm and personable along with a service staff that always make our meal a great experience.

we have been so impressed with the food, staff and ambiance of the cafe we recently held our sons christening function for 100 people on a sunday afternoon. charlie & christian ensured everything was organised from setting up the venue, to providing a three course meal of shared platters (happily accommodating some of our vegan and vegetarian family and friends). our guest were equally as impressed and as full as we were.

a small restaurant that deserves our sincerest gratitude and compliments on a fantastic function!

i go frequently for breakfast. i go to places for breakfast based on a dish. the one i go to balthazar for is the baked eggs. picture below! it is super yummy. service is good. i've been going for years and they know me which is nice. always busy and noisy. not the place for a date or quiet breakkie.

good prices, nice space, yummy food and great service. my dad introduced us to this place a couple of years ago. i was a bit sceptical, my dad wouldn't know gourmet if it was served to him at a wedding (true story, my wedding). however time and time again they have consistently provided a classy but warm atmosphere, lovely smiling service and cracking pizzas. the coffee is of a good standard too.

highly recommended.  we have been once only so far and will definitely go back.  the pizza was really one of the best of i've ever had......and i'm very fussy about my gourmet style pizzas.  great choices for every age, great family atmosphere and very friendly service.  good italian style coffee!  lenore

would highly recommend balthazar for their food and service, we have tried most of their menu and have not been disappointed once.  food is always delicious and the staff great.  we love this cafe so much that we held our daughters christening lunch there for 50 people and it went off without a hitch!  the balthazar team were easy to deal with in the planning and worked hard to ensure it was a success on the day.  love it!

it might be a cafe, but it's high end food quality. my balthazar steak was perfect in every way, as was the service. will be back to try the salt'n'pepper calamari as that looked awesome., 5 star service and meal quality.

have come here many times and the service is consistently exceptional. they offer great pizzas and burgers and parmy. really easy to order up at the counter which solves any split bill issues!
