so the food is served quickly and is fresh. but it was begging, pleading, no weeping with the need for more chilli. yes there was chilli sauce available on the table but the chilli sauce was so mild there really was no point. oh and i'll be honest it was a little too sweet for my liking or than i'm used to for vietnamese.

wow i'm not really selling this place am i? look i have worst in melbourne are far too frequently too. thus my score is average

service reasonable - greeted upon entry, fast. pretty nice, authentic flavours. nice aniseed flavour in the beef vermicelli, although some coriander and chilli would have hit the spot had it been included :)

i go here every few weeks. at the very least once a month.things i'm considering when giving this place a 5. ie, perfect score.
- consistency (i've literally never had a band experience)
- price (you can be full to the point of being sick for $15)
- speed (you'll have your meal in minutes)

this being said, i have not had any of the less vietnamese meals. by this i mean the more westernized generic chinese takeaway dishes. get a soup or a salad or you're doing it wrong. sugar cane prawn and number 17 ftw.

this is seriously tasty food. i walked in to grab some takeaway and was accosted by the smell of vietnamese cooking. my mouth was watering. i had the dumplings and a mongolian beef stir fry. the dumplings were good, with a lovely texture, but the stir fry was so tasty. well cooked. lots of beef. lots of veggies. i would go back for more!

wow this restaurant is orange! that aside the food here is decent enough. considering there isn't any competition around the prices are reasonable. if you're craving vietnamese this food will get you through, but i wouldn't head here for a night out/anything special.

can only comment on the deep fried ice cream as that is all i had. very nice. the crumb coating included coconut which was a nice addition.

the worst i have ever tried. i am a big fan of pho! i have been to many vietnamese restaurants. this was the worst i have ever tried. i paid $10.50 for a bowl of pho. noodle was not much and only two types (chicken and beef) were in the list. much less veriety than places i have tried and taste of the pho was the worst. if you are trying to have a romantic time with your partner, never ever come here. if you are looking for good pho restaurants, go to victoria street in melbourne. this is shame there is only one vietnamese restaurant in ballarat!!!!!!!

dirty, terrible customer service, ok food.. so we went to the vietname noodle bar on a sunday afternoon. there were three other tables taken with a total of ten people eating there. after ordering and sitting down i was immediately stunned to discover that my hands basically stuck to the table. there was a thin sticky film covering everything i touched including the floor. as i ate my special fried rice i found that the soy sauce appeared to be about 1/3 soy sauce to 2/3 water. the soy bottle appears to have not been cleaned in the last year. after one couple left the store a staff member came to "clean up" during which he spilled a cup of tea on the table. he removed the dishes and came back to wipe up the mess with a handfull of napkins which made me realize why everything in the restaurant was sticky. food was rather ordinary which is to be expected from staff who cannot run a clean restaurant. would not recommend or return. photos of my visit will be uploaded.

food was fantastic. the best dim sims and dumplings i've had in many years. and free green tea on all the tables was a lovely touch.

excellent food. very affordable!. i was taken to the vietnamese noodle house only two weeks ago, and have already taken two friends on two occasions since! i've tried the crispy chicken and noodle soup (no.22), the pork and prawn noodle soup (no.19 a must try!) and the singapore noodles off the main menu, as well as the sugar cane prawns, chicken skewers, dumplings and rice paper rolls off the entree menu and all were delicious.
the broth is beautifully aromatic but mild in flavour. and when poured over the generous serving of meat and vegetables, received in a separate bowl (i've only ordered takeaway) it comes alive! fresh crisp clean flavours that leaving you feeling energised and the good type of full!
mains average around $10 to $13 and between $3 and $6.50 for entrees. very affordable even for a family!

the place smells bleach and cigarette. we had our late lunch there today, we ordered salt & pepper on steam rice, fried dumpling and honey chicken on steam rice. the food is really great with large serving. the only problem is that the staff who's cleaning the other table sprayed bleach on that table and we could taste that bleach. also, it smells cigarette i don't know if somebody from the kitchen is smoking or whatevs,.

overall not at bad place for vietnamese considering its ballart. have a wide array of options (though would have liked a taro milk tea), staff were friendly and very accommodating.

once again it's no vietnamese restaurant in st. albans or footscray, but considering you're in ballarat it's good to have.
