this is without doubt the worst bait al-mandi in dubai. had i know it looks like a third class road side café, i wouldn’t have embarrassed myself by asking my father and kids to join me there. what a dump! for those of you thinking of visiting this place please take a close look at the picture i am posting. the story is much the same on the inside – nightmare. spare yourself and go to warsan mandi in wasan-1 or even mandi time in the england cluster.
that said, most of our food was good, the meat mandi and madfoon which my father and son ordered in particular. my daughter was not a happy girl. this place was way, way out of her comfort zone. but as always, she put on a brave face, going as far as complimenting the mandi chicken she ordered. she knew i was feeling embarrassed and tried in her own, sweet way to pacify me. but i was beyond that, having made my second mistake of the afternoon – i ordered fish. so i spent half my meal kicking myself for my first mistake (of coming here) and the second half fuming over the tasteless creamy dory which was passed off as a hammour fillet – serves me right, who orders fish at a mandi restaurant anyway? my son had a good laugh at my expense constantly reminding me that my order was like having the fish from a fish and chips with mandi rice. grr!
anyway, i’m done with this review and i’m done with this bait al-mandi.
