real bagels, but not the best. bagel factory is one of just three places in st. louis that makes real bagels: that is, bagels that are boiled before baking. i was hoping for bagel nirvana, but bagel factory is not quite it. however, bagel factory is quite good, and though i wouldn't recommend a drive to creve coeur just for this, it's definitely worth picking up some if you're in the area. note of caution though: don't expect abreadco.-style bakery cafe. it's really just a counter, which i'm sure keeps prices low but will disappoint anyone looking for a sit-down meal (or pre-made sandwiches).
