i’ve been coming here for years for that ‘one last drink’. you know when you’re out with friends for dinner and you want to go somewhere else for one last drink.. as such, i’ve never really eaten here until now.
oh my! i’ve been missing out on some seriouslygoodfood. on a relatively quiet sunday evening, i wandered in without a reservation and was warmly greeted at the door. the decor is so inviting, very suiting for a special date night. loved that they kept the huge tree on the property and built the establishment around it. it’s such an awesome focal point.
seated at my table, i was assigned a very attentive waiter that was very knowledgeable about the menu, flavour profiles and which dishes pair well.
it’s a tapas menu, but i must say the portions are very generous for a tapas dish. i opted for the spinach salad to start. moved on to the butter chicken with roti dish. and ended off with the chocolate fondant. everything was really yummy! that salad was gorgeous and would go really well with a beef dish. the butter chicken was rich and glorious. the fondant was the absolute ending of all endings to such agoodmeal.
i’ll most certainly be back.
update: returned for dinner with a few friends. we decided to order a bunch of tapas to share amongst ourselves.
great: risotto balls, polenta fries
good, but not great: tuna tacos, chili prawns, teriyaki beef, beef sliders
okish: lamb, butternut fondant, grilled calamari
