wow !! we came here for dinner the other night and what a treat it was. nothing was to much trouble for the lovely staff the mid winter feast was absolutely fantastic.

three of us had the feast and it was truly beautifully. such lovely flavours and the presentation was a credit to the chef.

the atmosphere was very warm and friendly.

can't wait to dine here again.

we have had many meals at arborio, and it tends to be a bit hit and miss. it is a great place for brunch/lunch, the pizza's are fantastic as are the kids meals. the few times we have had dinner however have been a total miss. bad service, terrible table settings (kept having to ask for cutlery etc) and average (and expensive) food which is borderline cafe quality but definitely nothing fantastic especially for the (high) price. some of the dinner menu items are the same as the lunch menu but $10 more! the arrangement of the restaurant is also a bit of a hit/miss - the booth and lounge seating is fantastic if you can score one, but the table and chairs haphazardley arranged is a bit too minimalistic, cold and uncomfortable. go there for the pizza and daytime dining.

the portion for this salad is so small i took it as an entree. will need two mains at this place
to accommodate hose with hearty appetites

came for a friend's birthday dinner. food was so amazing we came back for breakfast the next day. we had the seafood pasta, chicken and bacon risotto and eggs bene for breakfast. the mai tai cocktails were delicious. staff were very friendly. would definitely come back next time i'm in new plymouth!

had a delicious lunch here today. everything was so fresh. i had the vietnamese chicken salad, hubby had eggs benedict and the kids shared a kids hawaiian pizza (no pineapple). i was really impressed with the kids menu - out of the dozen or so items, only a couple came with fries! shout out to the wait staff who didn’t bat an eyelid when we spilled a second glass of water... great outlook over the promenade on a beautiful day.

creative menu with great combinations. service with a smile, short waiting time. beautiful views of the ocean, walkway and city. good prices. we ordered lemonada with passionfruit pulp and mint accompanied with vietnamese salad and mussels with white wine sauce. the dish stood out for me as fresh, aromatic and bright.

chicken fettuccini was full of flavor! ive also tried their spin on the hawaiian pizza and their eggs benedict and everything has been good. i'd go back :).

consistently good. i go to arborio from time to time, and the food and service are always consistently good. on a sunny day, it is nice to sit by the large windows. the pizzas are yummy, as are the cocktails! service is friendly and sincere, and the extensive menu has flair.

we were recommended arborio as a suitable venue to celebrate twin sisters' 70th birthdays. ngapira looked after us very well, and the food was fabulous. no loud music was a bonus. thank you.

pretty good with great service from the wait staff. the wait for food was quite long however, especially given the amount if people dining at the time. the food was well cooked with huge portions, and the eggs benedict with spinach and mushrooms was a nice change - just a pity the hollandaise had split.

i am appalled by the quality and proportion of the meals we ordered here today 😡 i ordered the fish and chips for 23.90 and was served two tiny fish bites wtf and my nephew ordered the kids f&c and got 10chips with one 50cent piece size bit of fish. how on earth did this restaurant get nominated "best restaurant" i do not recommend this venue for anything!!! as for service the "manager" could do with a hell of a lot more training.. rant over never coming back

waitress was a little to assertive, waiting time for meals was too long for the amount of diners, food was average for the price, could not eat the crackling and fettuccine was to greasy.

lovely dinner, with lovely service! the pizzas were great. they even gave us complimentary fries because of the wait on some pizzas. thanks for a brilliant evening!

i have been here twice in the last 6 weeks tried both menus. this place is awesome, service was on point and the food is just wow. i ordered the smoked kahwhai risotto and the lamb dish with a side of pear and rocket salad. the risotto was my favorite fish was fresh and lightly smoked, the dill and lemon really worked, lamb was also a star lamb shoulder slow cooked and basically flakes off and the rack of lamb just melts in your mouth. we had the framingham riesling and it was amazing with the meals we had. i will be back
