my husband and i visited for the first time and the service was horrible. we had to wait awhile just to get drinks. waitress came to our table only after we had to get her attention. when we finally got our food it was cold. the sides were horrible. the only good thing was the dinner rolls. i will never go back.

this breaks my heart to say that our long family tradition, going to a&q chicken, was so disappointing today. it is absolutely not what it used to be. the grease tasted old, the food was cold, the potions were much smaller. the service, however, was fine. doubt that i’ll go back ☹️ sniff sniff.

this used to be my favorite place in northwest arkansas to eat. i'm not really sure what has happened but it's changed. the seasoning seems to gone, and there's so much grease. even the rolls were disappointing the last two times. the decor is outdated but that would be okay because it's practically a landmark. almost as sad as the food, the sweet older ladies that used to greet and serve are all gone. the couple of younger women who waited on us both times were unsmiling, too busy to do more than quickly take the order and neither time came back to check on us through the meal. between the food, waitstaff and feel of the place being a bit grungy, we probably won't be going back anymore. it feels very sad. i've been going there as long as i can remember.

good experience for us! i had fried chicken and my friend tried the "over the coals" chicken. both were very good! each was tender and juicy. neither of us expected the "over the coals" chicken to be breaded but it was. very good with kind of a smoky flavor. the vegetables were also good and the bread was delicious.
i really wish i'd had room to try the fried peach slices... 😥

few get to dessert at aq chicken house, but those that do have the luxurious option of fried peaches -- individually battered and deep fried peach slices topped with ice cream. a sharing dessert that's way too good for your waistline to handle.

best fried chicken i have ever ate! my family gives me a hard time because i am a fried chicken connoisseur.  in other words, i love fried chicken and i am constantly looking for great fried chicken.  when i eat fried chicken, i eat it extremely slow to savor every bite.  the chicken at aq chicken house was truly the best fried chicken i have ever eaten.

excellent. i ate there for the first time yesterday and the food was great! i typically don't order pickles but the fried pickles were awesome. the breading they use on the chicken is delicious.

won't be going back.... we gave aq another try and my ribs were not hot, they tasted like leftover ribs that were reheated.

this was the best home style food i've ever had. the chicken was delicious, spaghetti was decent, and the fried peaches were to die for!

it's "hit or miss" here at aq. sometimes it great. sometimes it's terrible! they need some management in there to keep the quality consistant. i hope it improves, it's a landmark and was a great place to eat!

excellent chicken. until now we thought strouds pan fried chicken was the best, but this is amazingly better. also, try the deep fried peaches. so good.

a springdale treasure. best fried chicken around!! i always have the original aq pan fried chicken with a baked potato and mac and cheese on the side. fried chicken has a special flavor that you just can't find anywhere else.

i'll pass on this place. i was told this would be a great place for chicken; however that proved to be a mistake. i’ve had good chicken and i’ve enjoyed great chicken and this isn’t it. interesting restaurant, good service, but exceptional chicken isn’t on the menu here. the price was about what you would expect and the menu had lots of items to pick from.

good food. really good chicken, over the coals is my fav, and all their sides are good. down home cooking at its best. ask for the strawberry jam with your rolls. it's local made and divine.
