i first sampled the chicken over the coals breast, and found it to be somewhat salty and full of lemon pepper and smoke flavor. i can see why some of the recommendations i had were for this particular indulgence. the chicken was rich and full of flavor… so much flavor, it needed some of that roll to cut it down a bit. but still good.

overrated. aq is a springdale institution; it's been perhaps the most well known restaurant in springdale for decades. it was one of the first restaurants that i went to when i moved to springdale, and at first i really enjoyed it. i've gone a few times over the past few years and i've become less impressed with it with each visit. the quality of the food do not justify the price.

best chicken in nwa. you won't find better fried chicken in this area than here. it's amazing how well seasoned the skin is and (if you choose it) how tasty the white meat is.

i'm a little surprised by some of the bad reviews here too since this is easily one of the best places to eat in nwa when you consider price, service and of course, the food.

really good chicken from a time when the chicken was really good about 20 years ago. this place has simple food and there's no pretentions about being gormet just simply good down home cooking.

this place saddens me, but not as much as jose's.. the food and service have really gone by the wayside here. i occasionally stop by just to get some fried pickles, over the coals chicken and sweet potato casserole. these three things are generally still as good as they used to be. if you have never eaten here, you probably should just go elsewhere.

time dependent. i thought food is great! i think it does depend on the time of day you go. each time i've went it's been about 5:30pm. the food was hot and fresh.

we really liked the over the coals chicken, chicken tenders & battered fries! aq is a diet buster for sure, but worth it! try the fried peaches with ice cream! order in advance when you order your entrees.

very disappointed in my experience saturday night. the food was delivered quickly, one order was cold. the bread was cold. the pan fried chicken was average. the spaghetti tasted like the sauce was poured from a jar. only saw our server twice. had to flag her down to get the cold order returned. this was not the aq i remember. for the price we payed, not worth it.

pretty good fried chicken... it had some type of lemon seasoning on it, idk about that. the guy that said its worth a 2 hour drive from tulsa is wrong... go to mama es in okc if you're coming from tulsa

dissapointed. i have been to aq chicken house several times over the years. i always look forward to good fried chicken when i travel through the area. sadly the chicken isn't as good as it once was. it was lukewarm. definitely was not fresh cooked. we arrived just as the doors opened on a saturday and would have thought the food would be fresh. we also ordered the fried pickles, which were very greasy. guessing the grease wasn't hot enough. the greeter and waitress were very nice and friendly...the food was just fair at best.

be fore-warned, go here hungry! the battered mushrooms are the best i have ever had. the batter they use here (also used for the french fries) is excellent- vey crispy with a hint of sweet. i have tried the ribs and they were very tender, but the sauce was really the shining star.

but everything on the menu pales in comparison to the chicken over the coals. this chicken is hands-down the best chicken i have ever had. it has a great combination of flavors- lemon pepper, smoked, and several other spices i have yet to igure out. the chicken is juicy with a crisp outer skin.... order it- you won't regret it!

good food. try the fried chicken as it's what they are known for. i'm partial to the "over the coals" myself, but the other two "flavors" are pretty decent too. the sides are on the small side except for the mashed potatoes. but you still get plenty to eat. they also have a kids eat free option on certain nights which is wonderful! the atmosphere is kind of homey, and the servers are friendly.

luke warm food!. used to be a great place. has went down hill! the food is never hot always luke warm. what a shame it used to be a great place to eat!
