awesome!. great atmosphere. it is especially pleasant as you walk into this building that appears to be a factory set in the heart of harrisburg, only to be walking into a very hip/urban restaurant. as you are seated, you can watch the actually brewing of their beer taking place. very cool.

great food, prices ranged from $6.00 to $15.00 for most meals.

you can buy their beer on site as well.

very pleased. stopped by on a friday night expecting a little bit of a wait... was seated immediately... wait staff was very efficient and knowledgeable about the beer selections as well as the menu. great beers. the water gap wheat and the kipona fest are both excellant choices, as well as the mtn lager. we stuck to the pub menu for our "maiden voyage" and had a great sandwich. was more interested in the beers. was not disappointed. we will be going back. great service, great atmosphere (loved the industrial feel w/ the ceiling restoration) excellant food, and ... fantastic beers.

with a good beer menu and positive atmosphere the service and paninis were less then what we hoping for, the pizzas are worth coming in for to try though.

i've had better. i've eaten here a few times and each time the food was pretty mediocre. even more so considering the prices they're charging.

i worked at abc for a year cooking your food. notably fresh may be their motto for beer, but not for their food. the owner artie didnt care about the kitchen or its staff. he also didnt seem to care about the quality of food he was serving. i dont evet recomend this place to eat.

volks weizenbock from appalachian brewing on the drive from baltimore to williamsport with caroline, we stopped in harrisburg, pennsylvania to grab a couple beers at the appalachian brewing company . the brewpub is one of the largest in the country so stopping by just made sense. i began with a pint of one of their specialty brews, the volks weizenbock. the beer had a strong alcohol content but remained considerably drinkable from start to finish. we soon ordered a couple appetizers that reminded me of typical northern food. i already realized that i missed louisiana cooking. we ordered a round of canadian poutine as well as some "craisy" baked bree. the poutine is apparently a version of cheese fries that are made with steak fries, cheddar cheese curds, and brown gravy. i'm all about giving things a try but these just weren't really very appetizing at all. the bree tasted alright as it came with walnuts, craisins, and some ginger infused honey. however, they served it with plain white

beer and wings. i'll admit that most of their food wasn't memorable, i've had some excellent beer here, and as my friends agree, their wings are among the best!

horrible. went there in january... food was horrible, even tried to leave the doggie bag. the waiter chased me down to give it to me. the beer was good though, even though they were out of many choices.

decent beer, awful "food". god, i so wanted to like this place!

the beer they brew and serve here is pretty decent. the converted old warehouse space is gorgeous with its grand high ceilings and massive oak beams. the giant plate glass windows affording you a bar stool view of their brewery's inner workings are impressive.

the service is friendly, efficient and perky. the food though - wow. very hit and miss. i used to go there a lot and 50% of the time it just wasn't good. the other 50% it was about ok.

i had the pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy one night. all i can say is "straight from the freezer to the microwave to your table!". the potatoes, mashed with some skins were good but lukewarm. the gravy was a step up from canned.

as far as the schnitzel goes, i'm used to the good stuff from places like zum schneider and loreley in nyc. all i can say about this schnitzel is - ever have "cubed steak"? abc's is the equivalent, but in pork. i was looking at my friend's burger & fries with ravenous envy.

a while back i got some nachos that came out cold with cheese the consistency of hard melted plastic all over them. as hungry as i was i sent them back, had them taken off the bill and just drank beer all night.

their beer is good and well worth going there to check out though. they always have about a dozen varieties on tap with at least one always being a hand drawn cask variety. i like the weizenbock, which is like a dark weissbier. it's tasty as are the majority of their brews.

this place is a fantastic one to go hoist some brews made on premises, but if you want to eat i'd stick to the burgers. their fish & chips are also halfway decent for frozen stuff. if you do brave their food though, just make sure to tell them you actually want it cooked! such a darned shame that their clueless kitchen can't match their award winning brewery.

i've actually vowed never to return here until they get their kitchen situation straightened out. i've been back for their excellent beer many times since writing the above and my very last time here i was hungry enough to summon up the courage to order nachos again thinking that that last one was just an anomaly.

not the case. not only were they again as cold as ice, but the other order of nachos my table got was also like it was from a refrigerator and most of our other dishes were ice cold too. we sent the stuff back to be nuked, but as you can see from my picture above, the resulting atrocity that came back out was even more disgusting than the original cold one.

i don't know who their cook and food manager are, but the consistently awful fare they dish out should be enough to cost them both their jobs. from now on if i ever do return, it's strictly beer at the bar for me! what a shameful disgrace :-(

we stopped by on a saturday afternoon for the brewery tour- definitely a unique place. before the tour we tried their beer sampler for $10 and got 10 of their beers in small glasses to try. the food menu is probably one step above your traditional pub grub- as previous reviewers have said, they're famous for their beer, but the food wasn't bad at all. i recommend taking their free brewery tour saturdays at 1pm.
