best place to have indian food in st. louis so far. we had anis special chicken crispy. taste was awesome. good ambience. many indians visit this place on daily basis. we also had samosa and mirchi bhaji. felt like visited india again. and we get taj mahal beer here.

great vibe. excellent food.. i have to admit, i selected this restaurant with an eye to the price and busting the 100% rating. pricing was good and i had to give it a thumbs up!
i stopped by with my wife at 2pm on a saturday. the place was packed, with a half dozen indian families and groups of 20'somethings but no real line. this, to my mind, was a good sign. she got a mild chicken tikka masala and i got a lunch combo with chicken tikka masala and lamb curry. the naan was fantastic. very good. the lamb curry was fine, but the chicken tikka masala was phenomenal. the chicken was tender, the flavor had just the right combination of depth and richness while still being light and yummy, and the spice (at medium) was a pleasant background that didn't overwhelm the dish at all.
i should mention that chicken tikka masala is my base dish for judging indian restaurants.
we had a great experience. the service was friendly. the ambiance was great, with modern indian top-40 style music playing in the background, bright colors and a nice cafe style decor. this is definitely casual dining, but great bang for the buck. my combo was only $6.99 and i took just a small amount home for the pleasant memory (i have a big appetite). that's incredibly cheap for the amazing quality and good portion size. my wife's entree was $12 plus $2 for the buttered naan and she took at least half home in a box.
i like to experiment and will continue to check out other indian restaurants, but if you told me i could only eat indian at one spot in town, this is the one i would pick!
here's hoping my fellow reviewers will get out, try it and give their take.

food is always reasonable and consistent especially the biryani but they have no clue what customer service is, probably need some lessons and basic understanding of what it means. make sure that the success doesn't get to your head and understand that you exist because of customers...person at counter on 10/12....arrogant, rude and doesn't know what he is talking...maybe take some english speaking lessons.

this place has awesome chicken biryani and one of the best chili fish which is my favorite! the prices are reasonable. the lunch buffet is the highlight and is a go to option mostly. service is nice and parking is plentiful around.

go nowhere if you are meat lover, simply the best place in town. tandoori, apollo fish, lamb fry, all chettinad flavors were fantastic with classy hyderabadi briyani's.

been to this place in the ninth if april 2016, liked their food and overall good place to casual dine. their biryani is really good to try...

had an eye doctor appt in stl. this indian restaurant is across the parking lot. thought about trying it on previous visits but was always accompanied by less adventurous souls. i've had indian food before at a buffet style restaurant and liked it.

this restaurant is more of a cafeteria style so you have to tell them what you want as you order at the counter. since i had no idea i asked them what they recommended. they were very helpful and i ended up getting the lunch special, two curries with rice and a kind of fried pita bread. i chose a lamb curry and a chicken curry. both were delicious! i thought the price quite reasonable. the restaurant appearance is neat and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the ambiance pleasant with indian music playing in the background.

the only negative is the drink selection. i prefer iced tea but the only offering was instant, sweet tea from the soda machine. i had a coke.

all in all i would definitely recommend this restaurant.

no reviews yet this place is great for the food that is. this is real spicy oily indian street food, like a cross between a restaurant and fast food place. you order first pay and they get food to your table drinks are self serve, very disorganized if you need anything more than what you ordered but the food was so great that i don't mind them begin dysfunctional lol
