our group of 6 arrived at the wegman's amore' restaurant on east avenue and were seated promptly. special parking is allotted to the dinner guests and once inside you have no idea you are in a supermarket. the ambiance is rustic and nicely dim. our server, hillary, put up with our political jokes with aplomb and was patient with our questions and special requests. of note in the appetizer menu were the rosemary flatbread and the mussels. everyone raved. the antipasto platter was wonderful as well, especially when pared with the rosemary bread and butter brought to our table. dinners were exceptional. i had the spaghetti with pork sausage and meatballs and loved the chewyhouse-madepasta. another diner enjoyed the brodetto de mare very much.
desserts are incredible, especially the budino and the espresso gelato-one of the flavors offered the night we visited. all of us had take-out boxes and lots of great food for dinner the next day. i cannot wait to go back.
