dive but worth the drive. yes the place is a dive, but you talk about some food..its here. big portions at a descent price. have tried the entire menu and been satified every time. favorite are the carne asada burritos, fish tacos, and the shrimp cocktail. the fact that tneyre open 24 hrs is awesome when you get those middle of the night mexican food cravings. sad that they added groundbeefas an option to cater to you taco bell is mexican food people. for the real deal..this is the place.

not good!. we tried alvarado's a couple of years ago when we moved into the area and weren't impressed. i thought i'd give them another try last weekend and was happy that they've added groundbeefto their menu since that is what we prefer! while ordering through the drive-thru i said twice..."groundbeefon everything, please". besides missing one of the burritos i ordered and only giving us 1 instead of two they gave me 4 shreddedbeeftacos that were cold and chewy like they'd been sitting for a couple of hours! they got a second chance with us, but will not get a third!

horrible. we stopped here on impulse after years of driving by and saying we needed to try it. order thebeefburritos, chicken tacos, and fish tacos.

my first thought was this was "roach coach" food (the catering trucks that go around to job sites). i couldn't even eat the fish tacos, they were so fishy. thebeefburritos were huge, but thebeefwas nasty. the chicken tacos were the best of the bunch, but even then, not that good.

the worst part? the price for crap that we had to throw out. $18 for two for lunch, not including drinks.

won't be back.

good late night eats!!. i love their crispy fish tacos! well seasoned and crispy battered when they come out if you dine in. it gets all soggy if you take them home though.not a big fan of the rolledbeeftacos b/c they tend to be on the dried out side. overall, good place to eat after a night out since they're open 24/7.

crunchybeeftacos are almost perfect! the entire family loves this place and we travel out of our way to get here. the prices are great and the food is exceptional.
