102 craft beers on tap, nuff said! oh yea they have pizza and subs too.. you will find few other venues that offer a selection of draft, craft brews larger than this. i just returned from a trip to dc and visited their newest brew pub with the largest selection in the metro area. it had all of 32, and they were amazed at what we had back home. include the fact that a good many choices are their own excellent pizza boy brews, they always have something new to choose from. the staff aren't rude, they've just been asked "what beer should i get?" about 1000 times a day. the pizza and subs are good straight forward fare and are not trying to be something they aren't. it's a place to relax and have some of the best beers your will find.

probably never again. great selection of beer and the food is great however you are expected to leave tips even though you go to the bar to get your own beer and go to another counter to order and pick up your own food and then you clear the table. it's the same as being home, just more expensive.

just what the area needed. beer selection is awesome. awesome! found some of my all-time favorites on their list that i had not seen in years. the pizza is tasty but not the reason i come here. fun and knowlegable staff. some have mentioned that the employees aren't friendly, and while i would disagree, i can see why they wouldn't be. the suburbanite prozac-dazed crowd shows up in force since it's the new hip place to be, and many of these folks somehow can't figure out what they want even after waiting in line, so there is a wait to get your beer at times.
al's of hampton, don't change a thing.

for such an excellent beer selection (huge fan of the pizza boy sours) it's a real shame that the staff is so rude. also, its obnoxious that they wont let you sample beer when deciding which delicious selection would like to fill your growler with. i'm thoroughly upset about this since als could have easily become one of my new fav spots.

smoke and mirrors. yes - al's has 100+ beers on tap, who doesn't love beer and pizza. this place is busy - so you would think that it would be amazing. however the food is just okay, the prices are expensive and the atmosphere and staff are unwelcoming and not friendly. when you are there it feels like you are bothering the staff when they are waiting on you. i hope people start catching on to how mediocre this place is and spend their money elsewhere. i know i am.

102 taps of craft beer, not bud or miller or anything like that; so what's not to like? great food too. though the wait staff could be a little more friendly to the non regulars, esp ones that drive an hour just to check them out. seriously, the wait staff cared more about the regulars than the new folks.

if buying a growler, bring your own; they charge 8 bucks (yes $8) for the cap!

no biggie, i'll be back just for the beer.

this place was large and offered plenty of variety of pizza and food along with tons of beer. great pizza, i was surprised by the condiment bar which had a lot of things to offer such as nacho cheese(wasn't hot though...) and every hot sauce i can think of. their beer menu is just.... endless. i would recommend

very good pizza. a huge menu, including white pizza, stuffed pizza, calzones, stromboli, and sandwiches. i would suggest take out as there are very few tables to sit at.

crazy, eclectic beer selection, good microbrew on site, pizza is also great. i almost don't want to recommend it b/c until they move into the bigger location, it can be hard to get a seat. this is my new regular favorite place.

we were very pleased with our experience at this restaurant. our pizza, the "special" was very good. the sauce was a little sweet (which appears to be a common theme with pennsylvania food) but the crust was absolutely exceptional. the beer selection appeared to be quite remarkable as well (extensive variety of local brews). unfortunately we were travel weary with many miles to go and therefore did not partake thereof. for pennsylvania the service was above average as well (having just come from texas where you are truly treated as a guest at many of the restaurants whereas most places in pennsylvania appear place little emphasis on customer service). overall we give this restaurant 4 out of 5 stars and definitely recommend giving it a try.

the food is good, the beer is better, and the service usually meets par. a bit confusing for the non-regulars to order, and a bit frustrating for the regulars who can't get a taste or sample, it's still tough to beat their brew - especially sours - anywhere in pa.

awesome food!. stopped at a nearby hotel for the night on a road trip. found al's online and had it delivered. we don't always hit the mark with delivery during our travels but al's was fantastic and incredibly fast delivery for a friday night. my husband had the bacon cheeseburger pizza which was excellent, and i had an italian sub with onion rings and wow. the food was delicious, one of the best pizzas and subs we've had in ages. we were thrilled to come across this little gem and can't wait for our next trip that brings us through pa.

**first and foremost this al's is in no way affiliated with the local al's pizza chain**

al's is an amazing case of what a pizza place really should be. not the biggest place but it makes up for it with great food. i had a chicken cheese steak, which was a little on the small side, but was still very good. i also got to try a few slices and they were very good as well. i can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

now on to the good part, the insane beer selection. simply put, there is no better selection of beer in the greater harrisburg area, period. they have some of the best beers in the world on tap and in bottles. the mix six is a good deal, as are the growlers. if you are looking to branch out and try some new beers, al's of hampden is your place.
