excellentfoodat this location. the pasta is blatantly fresh and with their sauces house made and blended to perfection. very reasonably priced as well for the quality offoodwe received. definitely recommend

oh.. if i could give a negative 10, it would still not be enough to describe the unbelievable subpar quality offoodwe ate at this so called "best italianfoodrestaurant in san antonio" i would not feed thisfoodto a stray cat in an alley. we ordered 3 distinct dishes and an appetizer to see how the various dishes would be served, their quality and appearance. the fried calamari appetizer was passable, but the chicken and mushroom risotto, the penne vodka with fennel sausage and peas and the margherita pizza where right at the same level of olive garden quality, with double the price tag. risotto is not supposed to be soupy, and arborio rice must be used. both ingredients a fail. the penne vodka with fennel sausage and peas had an overwhelmingly fennel flavor that turned us off from enjoying any portion of it. the margherita pizza was cooked on a pre-made dough (pre-made!!!!!! we are talking airplane gradefoodnow) and questionable (at best) mozzarella cheese..... then a plopped slice of crappy fresh tomato on each slice.... no-no-no-👎 . my recommendation: you can get better quality and flavorful italianfoodfrom johnny carinos at half the price. very disappointed. the only good thing was that the assistant manager offered to give us a discount, since 3/4 of each dish was still left over in the plates, as we refused to eat it. so kudos for that attempt.

busy place in an outdoor mall. calamari was well fried and sauce was tasty. caprese salad was refreshing. trout came with a nice sauce, mushrooms, and one artichoke heart. also served with pasta. chocolate cake went well with coffee. decent wine selection too. waitstaff was, at times, too attentive and it felt like they were trying to rush us out. but thefoodwas good and affordable!

when i arrived at aldino today, around 12ish, i was greeted by a welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. we were seated right away and our drink order was taken soon after. after reviewing the menu, i decided on the eggplant parmesean. i ordered and it came in a timely manner. this is the first time i've ever had eggplant and i have to say.... it was delightful. the eggplant was served with pasta, which went perfectly together. the waiters were attentive and my glass of water was never empty. when our meal was over, they packed up ourfoodand we were on our way. i had a pleasant experience and the decor took me back to italy. it was a little bit more fancy than i'm used to but i enjoyed myself and the food.

great lunch. always goodfoodat this little spot. not as crowded as it used to be for lunch which is always a plus. plates are always very flavorful and waitstaff always attentive but not pushy. had a great lunch experience here the chicken in pasta with a lemon sauce over vegetables was absolutely fantastic. could have been a bit bigger but the shrimp were huge so it made up for it. will definitely be back about dinner time.

hate to dislike, but.... i rarely if ever give negative reviews. my wife and i have liked aldino's even back when it was at central park mall. since going stone oak-ish, thefoodhas suffered and the service seems bored to be there. the tomato sauce for the ravioli dishes has gone bland. red tomato sauce at caparelli's (main or huebner) is superior at a much less price. i hope things get better.

love aldino cucina. we go about once a week and love it. i always get the pork tenderloin with the risotto and while a time or 2 it might have been a touch dry from us going really early for supper it has never been less then and a to us...other times it is a++.
we went this past thursday around 4:30 and for some reason took them really long time to getfoodout to us but the waiter was great....we have never had a waiter or waitress that was not outstanding.
the only bad thing about this last visit was tvs and music from different places were blaring instead of the nice peaceful music we have always heard before..shoot!

good f.ood, gaudy interior... thefoodat aldino is absolutely great. they are consistent with the quality of their dishes, and i have always left satisfied. we try to go at least twice a month, if not more. their prices go up at night, so we tend to visit more during the day. i recommend the veal ravioli or the pasta bella donna!

no stars for service. very disappointed. thefoodwas okay, nothing spectacular.
i was very disappointed in the service. the waiter brought me a salad i did not order. i politely told him that this was not what i ordered. he told me that it was. he then in a very interrogating voice and manner asked, "well what did you order?". he never apologized for his mistake. i will not recommend this restaurant or go back!

great atmosphere,foodwas good. the restaurant's look and feel is very pleasing. i really liked the atmosphere here. service was very prompt and polite. thefoodmay be a little more expensive than some other italian places, but not much and it was pretty good. i had the ravioli and it tasted great, the portion was bigger than i expected so that was a nice surprise. overall it was a good experience. i can see myself returning at some point and have no qualms recommending.

a very nice place. we have eaten many times at aldino's, since its first location in central park mall. the owner is very friendly, thefoodis excellent and moderately priced. pasta dishes are large enough to share. the fried calamari is the very best, and is large enough for an entre.

one evening i ordered a pre-dinner old fashioned. it was not prepared properly (most bartenders these days don't know classic cocktails). the owner came over and then worked with the bartender until he got it right. the owner said the bartender had to do it 5 times before it was right.

there is a selection of modestly-priced half-bottles of wine.

that is the kind of place it is.
