their food and service quality has dropped. their food does not taste the same. i see their staff never uses mask and when asked they got angry and said kitchen is hot. they are rude and don’t bother to come and check on what you want. it was a differentplaceon days when the lady who runs it is in the restaurant. i am not going their again. once upon a time it was a favorite.

in this recommendation of must try food-joints in the #uae we feature #alghaarresturant 🤩
located in #alnadahsharjah the #restaurant does justice to its name of ‘ghar ka swaad’. if you would love to have #dishes from the #indian states of #karnataka and #maharashtra this is theplaceto go to. a small and clean outlet, easily accessible (except for the #dubai to #sharjah traffic), friendly staff and #deliciousfood which does not burn a hole in your wallet - there are practically no reasons not to visit. and if you still need more reasons, there’s a 15% off for #zomatouae pro members.

greatplaceto go to on a friday morning. my order usually consists of thalipeeth, sabudana khichdi, akki roti, thatte idly and puranpoli. akin to the name of theplacethe food is a perfect recreation of what one associates to "home food". would highly recommend

im pretty sure i wrote a review for thisplacebut cant seem to find it now 🙄 anyway i had the veg thali which is so different from the normal northie thalis. i loved it! everything is spicy though. and it comes with 3 different types of rotis. the rotis were being rolled out by an aunty, which i really felt added to the authenticity of the taste.
theplaceis bit tricky to find but gps helps 😂 and lots of parking in front.

for more detailed reviews, please visit my insta page @ sykoblogger

we wanted to try something different than the usual vegetarian restaurants and ended up at this place

we went in for the high reviews and were having mixed feelings about this place

the staff here raghavendra, was very friendly and helpful and let us try different items they had.

the motto is purely justified....ghar ka swaad

the food is so homely and similar to home cooked food.

the ingredients used are plain simple and pure. no additives

i am so glad we found this place.

overall i would recommend this place, as the price is very pocket friendly, as well as quality of the food is great!!!

do let me know what you have tried from thisplaceand anything that i should try from here.

recommended!!!!

if you are craving for an authentic uttara karnataka homely jolada rotti oota in dubai/sharjah, then this is the rightplaceto be.. they also serve holige, kattin saaru, pundi palya, ragi muddhe, akki rotti, mirchi bajji, badnekaayi palya, etc. for meals.

and, they serve thaalipatt, churmuri soosla, avalakki, paddu, girmit and so many other items, which you would crave being from uttara karnataka.

it’s not just the food you will love here, but the staff and the management, with the love and affection they engage and treat you with, in your homely kannada language, catapults your back to the lanes of uttara karnataka.

that being said all about uttara karnataka ( north karnataka food), it’s a must for others too, who would want to taste authentic karnataka ( i.e., a southern state of india) vegetarian cuisine.

i would love to be there every weekend.

easy to find using google maps. lot of unorganised parking in front of and near the hotel especially on weekend. we arrived a bit early for lunch at 1 pm and we were warmly welcomed and asked to chose our tables. the food preparation was in full swing and we were told to wait for 15 minutes. this is very reassuring as it means food is freshly prepared. theplacefills up very fast and they have limited tables so try to reach here on time. we opted for a traditional meal. started with onion bajji was not hot otherwise great. jhunka was great so was butter milk. we tried hot jowari, ragi and akki rotti liked all three equally. accompaniments were green gram usli which was good and brinjal yengai was amazing. the groundnut chutney pudi with curds was yummy ( we bought a box of it). white rice with obbatina saru was mind blowing. tried hot bele hollige or obbatu with ghee and for i minute i started wondering if i was transported back to south bangalore... so authentic !!there was mixed rice but we didn’t try it. what can i say about service it was like being served with typical north karnataka hospitality at your relatives place, can’t ask for more. we might have added a lot of calories but we came smiling all the way home.

only thing , food is a tad bit spicy for people who are new to this cuisine. also would have loved butter with the piping hot jolada rotis( may be they had we didn’t ask).
