not too impressed. as a novice in thecolumbussushi market, i'm comparing this place to haiku first, and then against sushi across america. in that comparison, it comes in as a-ok. i don't think i'd go back unless i needed an unusual dessert fix, the honey roll.
the rest of the lineup was average at best. we had yellowtail, salmon, raw scallops (not bad for this far off the coast), tuna, masago (better than the rest of the stuff) and the heavenly honey roll. the portions were about the right size, not too big.
one problem was that nearly every piece of nigiri that we ordered had a healthy dose of wasabi. i'm a fan of the green, sinus-clearing root, but not in this dosage and not on all my sushi.
they did have asahi. it is pricier than it should be given the quality.
the place is kinda hard to find, just go behind the door where your gps takes you and you'll find it. the japanese market in the same campus is a nice find too for those hard to find items.
like i said, i wouldn't return until i've tried other places in columbus, but if this is the best in town, i could live with that. heck, i eat sushi in boardman, oh.
