ah beng kopitiam

this place really felt like i was transported back to a street cafe in asia. we enjoyed everything we ordered. there's full sized dishes served with noodles orricebut today we ordered 6 side sized dishes to share. they're between $4-$8, see pics for prices and names. i highly recommend the eggplant balado; next time i will order 2 serves of this! and if you've got young kids, the grilled chicken.

tryingricewith chicken korma is my favorite experience here in ah beng kopitiam restaurant. the proportion of spice in korma was absolutely perfect. highly recommended!

came here to taste their tastyricewhich we have heard a lot of good reviews and to be honest it was really worth it. the chicken recipe was delicious.

we tried this place on last monday. hadricewith chicken, i forgot the name of the dish but it was awesome. we were group of three people and all of us ordered that and it was cost effective for us.

we were off to a desi food restaurant which could be affordable. so came to know about ah beng kopitiam from this website. read some amazingly good reviews and we were impressed that this restaurant was so affordable and the quality of food was top notch.ricewere delicious.  keep up the good work.

very recommended restaurant, although the place is quite hidden. but the food is very tasty. we went here a few times to have lunch and dinner. ducks and noodles are my favourite. excellent local food and good portion size for a low price! the friedriceis tasty and served with fresh vegetables. it reminds me of my favourite friedricethat i used to eat when i was in indonesia, soooo authentic taste. the service is quick and friendly. love to come back again for sure. please make sure check your directions and the place is quite hidden ( at the back of the langford shopping complex).

we came on weekdays so it's nice to have lunch here (not too busy). we ordered hot teh tarik (delicious, like it so much as it not too sweet like on other places),riceducks with veggies (nice ?my kid liked it), noodles with crispy chicken (yummy :)) & spicy noodles seafood (delicious too :) only next time i will reduce the level of spicyness haha). and also the staffs were really friendly :) overall it's a good place to have malaysian/indonesian meals. recommended :)

we went to ah beng kopitiam yesterday and ordered this recipe called "laksa singapore". it had deliciously creamy milk with spicy laksa soup, withricevermicelli, thick noodle, sambal, chicken, fishball. everything was just awesome. we were surprised by the very low rates. that cost us only $12.90. i think they provide best value for your money. keep up the good work. i will love to come back.

hi zomato community,last saturday night we visited ah beng kopitiam for the dinner. well at first it was hard to decide what to order, as they have very wide collection of recipes. waiters were really helpful and nice. then we ordered sweet and sour chicken. presentation was absolutely amazing. also price was very affordable. we really enjoyed the food. chicken was very tasty andricewas neatly cooked. highly recommended restaurant for halal food. thank you very much.

situated within the humble langford food village, ah beng kopitiam has been dishing out authentic malaysian food for years ✨. i've never heard a bad review from any malaysian peeps, let's put it that way.

ah beng chickenrice🐥🍚 sits quite high up in the perth's favourite chickenricelist and i can see why. the chicken looks deceptively dry but it is in fact so juicy and moist. fluffyricehas great chicken flavour and the chilli sauce is yum 🌶. wish this place wasn't so far from us, i would love to try more things on the menu, more often!

ott: when we arrived there was a table of 4 malaysian ladies and they ordered a mountain of food, something along the line of 1 main each plus sides 😦. it might not sound like a lot but we all know that mains are meant to be shared between 2 at places like this so... i bet they've been here before and done this before. must mean the food is beyond fantastic, right?!??

simple cafe with simple food, but cooked well. this place has their own take on classic mamak food like nasi lemak and mee goreng; doesn't quite taste like the malaysian authentic ones, probably leaning more towards indonesian style, but surprisingly we enjoyed the flavours. love how noodles used in the mee goreng are homemade. nasi lemak has good fragrance to thericeand classic seafood noodles (dry) is topped with different ingredients, which is great. satay mushroom is a brilliant twist to normal meat satay- peanut sauce is delicious and generously coated every skewer. wasn't won over by the beef rendang or roti susu (was nice, but a bit too sweet & much condensed milk on it). nonetheless, service was friendly and good. happy to come back again & try other dishes.

was in the area, so decided to try this place that i found from zomato search. when we arrived, nobody was here (sunday lunchtime). portion for the friedriceand main dishes was huge.. for noodle, it was standard... i don't like the beef satay, it's so hard to chew and dry.. crispy spicy beef was nice and all other food i ordered (photo below, check for individual reviews) was standard.. the complex is very empty didn't see anyone else in the area >.<

not bad worth trying. went using groupon voucher and ordered nasi lemak and teh tarik from the choices given. like the nasi lemakriceas its soft and fragrant. chicken wings was nice and crispy. however ikan bilis and nuts are not as good as other places. teh tarik was good, really enjoyed it. looking at the normal menu, some items are quite expensive but will definitely be back to try.

nasi lemak. fragrant and soft rice

a lot room for improvement. it was only 2 tables inside including mine but the food took more than 30mins to be served.
ordered friedricethat looks nothing like the picture. the picture looks appetizing but the real one looks bland. big portion but bad taste. obviously use excessive amount of msg. atmosphere of the restaurant was not great either. however, the durian balls were yummy.
in conclusion, a lot of room of improvement...meanwhile, i don't think i will come back.
