long wait, good food.. don't expect your food at a snappy pace on a saturday night. my wife and i arrived at 7:30, we were seated with in minutes. the wait staff was courteous and friendly and was prompt with our drinks and salad. after a 40 minute wait for our main course, i asked if there was a problem with our order and was told they were plating it up. 10 minutes later i was still waiting. they said that they were sorry but it was a saturday night and they were busy, i said that 40 minutes for a busy kitchen was to long to wait and could i have it all packed up to go and we would eat at home. when we arrive at home we discovered that they had only packed half our order correct but had thrown in an extra slice of cake. i will recommend aboca for their food but nexttimei'll call ahead, pick up and eat at home.

i went to this outlet with my crony. we ordered pasta which was delicious. we also had ordered salad which was loaded with exact dressing that we asked for. this place is always crowded with patrons. would like to visit again nexttimewith my kin.

aboca's is my go-to italian restaurant. we've been coming here for years and we are continually pleased. nightly specials add great variety to the menu, however i never tire of my favorite entree, the agli olio pasta dish. the meat lovers pizza is also excellent. the bread brought before the meal is always fresh and warm, served with a flavorful garlic-olive oil sauce. what i love most about aboca is its quaint atmosphere and friendly service. most all of the waiters remember us eachtimewe dine, which makes us want to continue to support this local gem.

aboca's richardson has gone downhill. it's a shame. they use to be a great little neighborhood restaurant. their food is poor - at every level. their service is shabby (except for the hostess) and the owner is not interested in hearing any feedback. his arrogance and attitude set the tone for the place. don't waste yourtimeor money. there are too many other good restaurants worthy of both.

the surrounding strip mall isn't much to look at, but this place serves some really good, straightforward italian classics. tried it for the firsttimelast night and was impressed--an old school mom and pops place with a lot of regulars. the osso bucco was succulent. the accompanying rissoto was just average. service was top notch and friendly. this will be my family's new go-to spot when we need an italian food fix.

worst restaurant experience. aboca's is easily the worst restaurant i have ever tried. the restaurant itself is in a run-down strip mall, right next to a mcdonald. the firsttimewe went there, the restaurant was full and we were thinking it must be one of the those diamonds-in-the-rough places. we waited inside the door for a waiter or waitress to take down our name and party size. we waited, waited, and waited. for over 15 minutes, not a single waiter or watress came over or made eye contact to acknowledge our presence and we were not the only family waiting! given the small size of the restaurant and the large number of people there, we can feel the drop in oxigen level and increasing strong suffocating smell. we decided to go to kirin just across 75 and had a great dinner.

we went back two weeks later as we figured they must have had a short of hand on that particular night. also, aboca's just started running promotions through http://restaurant.com that offers a $50 discount on a $100 purchase. this time, the restaurant was almost empty. however, the waitress told me that the owner explicitly told them that they will not honor the discount certificate despite what is printed in black and white. at our insistence, she called the owner but the owner won't pick up the phone, so we left and later went to mi piaci (which offers excellent italian food and service).

after looking through previous reviews, i realized that we are not the only scammed customers. we are very glad that we didn't eat its any of its food. if a restaurant can simply disregard what they offered in black and white, how can we trust what they put in their dishes? given the smell, i don't even want to think about it. ...

great place great food. our firsttimeat aboca's and we will definitely go back. we had great service, fantastic food and pleasant atmosphere. the waitstaff is attentive but not intrusive. the food is delicious and served really hot. can't wait to go back and try something different. the cannelloni and the manicottti were wonderful. the best italian i have had in a long time.
