7 bar & grill

this place is great if you are looking for a sports bar to get a late night cocktail and a bite to eat. i recommend ladies night every tuesday 1/2 priced cocktails! the food is decent but thedrinksare better. not really a place i would go to specifically for the menu.

this place sucks! me and friends went to drink somedrinksand watch a football game. having a good time laughing, no profanity, just laughing. got told we were too loud. brought up how we spent 200 dollars there and were told our money isn't worth anything. will never go here again! and food sucks....

okay food, great drinks. i've been to 7 bar & grill a few times while in town. i've had the chicken tender appetizer which was good. once for lunch i had the greek salad which was average; i asked the waitress about the type of olives in the salad, but she did not seem to know. my favorite thing about this place is the full bar. i've been to a lot of places in amarillo and 7 is by far the best restaurant/bar. their drink specials are great and they make gooddrinksthat are not weak.

bad food, bad service. my friend and i were looking for a place to eat and sip a drink on a friday night. we ordered the sampler dish and the food was so horrible we wanted to send it back (artichoke dip looked like it had been scraped out of the leftoever dishes of other patrons and the stuffed jalapenos were so charred they were inedible) but we could not get our server to ever come back to our table. 20 minutes later we were finally checked on and we paid for ourdrinksand returned the food. we will never return to this grill again.

such a shame. my wife and i have been going to 7 almost every thursday since they reopened. we are friends with the owner and really hope he understands. we will not be back. ever since they opened we have loved going in and enjoying the atmosphere and great food. the food and atmosphere is not the issue, they service is. we have tried so hard to dismiss it as bad help and with both my wife and myself being managers in our own professions with employees come and go this is not hard to believe. but with the last 3 or 4 times we have been there something or several something have been wrong with our order or the service was incredibly slow or just downright bad. we have had just about the same level of mistakes with new servers as well as servers that have been there since before the name change. i hate to leave this bad review but something needs to change our you will go the way that other places do that can't seem to get it together. your food is wonderful, your place is clean and non smoking and a wonderful stress free environment, your only problem is horrible service. i mean how hard is it to remember we wanted fries with our burger. how hard is it to bring bbq wings and not buffalo? i hate to say this but mcdonalds had made fewer mistakes on my orders. and that is a horrible thing to say but it is the truth. i am so sad because we have been going there for so long and the managers always apologize and say it will never happen again but the next week it is the same. i hope you figure it out soon because you got a good thing going please don't ruin it.

totally awesome, great food anddrinksand even better prices. this is our bar of choice.

meh food. the food was mediocre; much like jakes, which this replaced, the food was largely flavorless. not bad, just plain.

however, thedrinkswere reasonably priced, the tv's abundant and the service good.

i would definitely come back to watch a game and have some beers with friends, but i'll skip the food next time.

also, the advertised "whiskey wednesday" special was the most watered down 7 and 7 i've ever had.

my family chose to eat here last weekend because we were on the edge of town and it was late. what a mistake!!! first off, it's the same owners of jake's bar & grill - they just renamed it and changed the menu - a thinly veiled attempt at revamping seeing as the wait staff aprons are still stamped with the "jake's" name and logo. for it being a "bar" the selection was pathetic. we were told they didnt serve budweiser at all... the waitress had no knowledge of available beers/liquors/mixed drinks, but we gave her a break because she wasn't from the us. it took absolutely forever to getdrinksfrom the bar, and our orders from the kitchen weren't any faster. i ordered the fettuccini alfredo - very disappointed! the dish came out cold, which wouldn't have mattered because we hadn't been given utensils. the alfredo sauce was very thin and oily and refused to adhere to the noodles. the only redeeming quality of the dish was the garlic bread, it was the only component i ate. of the 5 other diners at the table, none were happy with their orders, or our service. i give the owners props for trying to "trick" new clientele into visiting.... but it's a futile effort if you don't fix the food and retrain your staff!!! i will not be back.
