great spot for a few pints and some food - but don't expect cheap and nasty pub grub, the food here is delicious. particularly like the chicken burger and the meatballs! often come here after work and get a few platters to share - the onion rings and chicken wings really hit the spot!

extremely rude staff (possibly owner) we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable in a recent visit. 6 of us entered for some lunch about 4pm. we where the only ppl in the place. 4 of us wanted to order food but 2 of us were not hungry and asked for a glass of water only. we were told in a raised voice that "i am running a business here, you cannot just come in off the street and not order anything. if you don't order you have to leave" after protesting that 4 of us where ordering food and the other 2 where our companions we were told that they had to buy a €1 glass of ribena or they couldnt stay. the woman proceeded to list off all her outgoings i.e gas electricity, rates, insurance. we had been served tea & coffee at this stage so we paid for these ribenas so as not to escalate the incident futher. although we did not order any food and just had our drinks. this woman who so fervently told us she was "running a business" numerous times, obviously missed the part about customer service. basic maths might be needed also. as 4 ppl buying food and drink is worth a lot more than 6 ppl with only drinks. i would not recommend anyone to visit here as the (possible) owner obviously puts money (€1) before the comfort of her guests.

came here tonight for dinner.. me and my boyfriend got the deal for €40, it's great value for money as you get a starter, main coarse and also a drink! you can't go wrong! :)
the chicken burger is a must try, absolutely delish and the food is so fresh and very well presented. the staff are very friendly and give you recommendations on food and drink if you need it!
i love the bar itself as its really cosy and has a nice chilled out vibe. i would definitely come here again, i can't fault the place! :)

i went here for dinner last night upstairs #57headline i been here before for dinner in the bar so i couldn't wait to check out upstairs.
i love this place the decor is fab and so chilled and relaxed. to start we had a glass of prosecco my favourite way to start an evening.
for starters we shared spiced lamb meatballs these are the best meatballs i have had definitely recommend getting this.
mains i had panfried hake with pepper escabeche and spicy potato amazing, nice & spicy. i also got to try the spiced lamb kofta burger mint yoghurt, aubergine, rocket with hand cut chips really nice i'm not a big lover of lamb but the lamb meatballs & burger are fab if you like lamb you must try these.
dessert we shared lemon posset yum yum yum second time having this luv it.
we decide to try a couple of blend inn cocktails i got a negroni which has dingle gin, punt e mes, campari & rhubarb bitters. love the way they serve these cocktails in their own bottle. i enjoyed this one but you need to be a lover of gin.
we also had a luke kelly this was my favourite great name also. in the luke kelly was teeling small batch, raspberry shrub & ginger beer this is fab don't be put off by the whiskey if you are not a lover of whiskey because you don't taste it.
this is one of my favourite places to eat at the minute lovely chilled atmosphere food amazing staff are so friendly and informative about food & drinks if you haven't already checked out here i highly recommended it.
oh almost forget great little touch when we got the bill we got a packet of love hearts haven't had these in years and i was blown away by this it's the small things you remember.

this place is great for a quiet drink during the week or for lunch at the weekend. the food is delicious with a good choice of variety in their dishes. they have a wide range of beers on draft. the staff are always friendly and give great recommendations on beers. they also do deals during the week and sometimes when matches are on.

this was a hosted visit which i was looking forward to. decided to go on a sunday evening around 4pm. it wasn't busy and there was nice relaxing atmosphere downstairs.
impressive selection of craft beer and cocktails were really good.
started with the sea trout with fennel and citrus salad which was tasty but not sure about the orange. next up was wings, home fries and pork belly banh mi. we weren't mad about the wings and the banh mi was nice but had better expectations after seeing it made on a jamie oliver show one time!! staff were very friendly and i'd go back for drinks and maybe a snack but not a full meal. there are some good offers but thought wine was a little overpriced.

this is a great spot if you love craft beers and a hearty meal. the person i went with felt the menu was limited, however i think they went for quality over quantity. they also reccommend drinks to match each meal - which helps greatly in picking from the huge selection. staff knew their stuff too, and service was quick. highlight was the bag of jellies we got at the end!

a great place to eat. i had a fabulous meal with my partner at 57 the headline. it was our first visit there and it certainly won't be our last. the meal was perfection itself- i had the delicious steak and the best onion fries ever (few places make onion fries like that). their cocktail selection is plus, i opted for a french martini and there are so many other options to choice. the attention, detail & service we received from the lovely waitress was second to none.

even though the restaurant was empty on a wednesday night, the room still felt like it had a nice atmosphere. the music was loud enough without being overbearing with a nice mix of songs, while every table was neatly set.
even though the menu is quite small, some of the options jump out at you. for me it was the cider braised pork shoulder and quail breast and leg starter.
the starter was tasty but a little small, and with a bit too much barley
the pork main was pretty dry and needed every bit of the apple jam. the pork and mustard croquette was lovely and the dish could've done with another one or two of these.
i have to give credit to our waitress who was lovely, attentive and always on hand without seeming intrusive.
the excellent selection of craft beers is notable too, with the bar offering tasting menus too.
although the overall experience was good, i don't think the price reflected the result. €70 for two main dishes, two starters, a side of chips, glass of wine and one pint seems too much for this establishment.
i would go back, but only to avail of their excellent early bird offer

we went here for dinner on a wednesday night and it was only ourselves and another couple but it really didn't phase us because the atmosphere was so nice! set above the headline bar, this restaurant looks out onto the busy harold's cross crossroads. we had the pick of all the seats in the place so picked a window seat and there was a lovely radiator at our feet to keep us toasty! the music and atmosphere of the place was lovely and although there were only 4 people there at the time we didn't beat the others conversation once, it was as if the place was nicely full!
the waitress was just lovely, she was so friendly and accommodating. my boyfriend wanted to order a starter and i wasn't too pushed on the selection so she told me i could order from the downstairs pub menu if anything there appealed to me more. i ordered the wings to start and they were so refreshing. they came in a lemon, honey and thyme glaze and there were the perfect amount of them! my boyfriend started with the quail breast and really enjoyed it.
for mains i opted for the 10oz ribeye with green beans, chips and a peppercorn sauce while he went for the cider braised pork shoulder. it wasn't the best steak i've ever had and definitely needed much more seasoning but the portion was huge so i was happy! my boyfriend really enjoyed the pork and ordered an extra side of chips as his main was quite small. afterwards we were absolutely stuffed so we couldn't even look at desserts!
overall we had a lovely experience here- only negatives i would really note would be the size of the menu (4 starter options, 5 mains) but then again you could always order something from the downstairs bar menu, and the second thing i would note would be the price. we had 2 starters, 2 mains with 1 additional side and i had 1 glass of wine while my boyfriend opted for a craft beer (they've loads of craft beers and he was really impressed with the variety) and this came to about 70.. it was lovely and i'll definitely go back again, but just a little overpriced!
our waitress was such a lovely woman as well and made every effort to serve us without being too in your face- we got some lovely love heart sweets with our bill too so we were delighted.

i was at 57 the headline last night for some food and a couple of drinks and i was pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere, the great selection of craft beers and the hamburger was very nice too. the burgers are from the village butcher in ranelagh which is my local butcher so that is a plus. i will definitely go back and i'm curious to try the restaurant upstairs.

i'm a huge fan of 57 the headline. not only is the food and atmosphere great, its also one of the best bars in ireland because it pours only irish craft beer. they always have the best and newest irish beers and a consistently balanced and varied line up. they also do a great deal on two mains, two starters and two drinks for €20.
