500 degrees pizzeria

ordered 2 14inch pizzas and the total was $44 with a 3 ingredients on each and apparently they only do thin crust pizza (not my preference). the pizza wasgoodbut in my opinion this is overpriced, for less money, i eat at a verygoodpizza place like luigi's pizza and probably more. needless to say i won't be coming back.

by far the best pizza in charlotte, or pretty much anywhere.. this is, by far, the best "real" ny style pizza in charlotte. i've tried all that i know of, and this is tops. it's better than hawthorne's, brooklyn, tony's, and others that are out there. here is why:

1) starting at the crust... it's a perfectly crisp crust with the right amount of "chew" to it. a lot of pizza places have decent crust, but they typically don't use high gluten flour. this is critical for the chewy, crispy, bubbly crust that makes the foundation for a perfect pizza. these guys nailed it.

2) the sauce is a great, perfectly seasoned red sauce. not too sweet, not to salty, and not too much/ or too little of it.

3) the cheese is a verygoodmozzarella that gets a nice "nutty" flavor when it gets browned in the deck ovens.

speaking of the ovens, i don't consider a pizza place as being "legit" unless they have a bakers pride type deck oven. these are the ones that have the slate stone floor that's required to get authentic crust.

i don't typically get any toppings, but if you do, i highly suggest the sausage. it's a very unique presentation of link type sausage that is sliced lengthwise. very tasty.

the best ny style pizza in the qc. i'm originally from nj, and this place is hands down the best ny style pizza in charlotte. the natives here might prefer papa johns, but the yankee diaspora is lucky to have such great pizza in our backyard!

slices are huge, prices fair... dont forget to add an order of hot wings- cheap and suprisinglygoodfor a pizza joint.

great service,goodfood, fast delivery!. i was looking for a local pizza place near my house and came across this blog. i called mistaking this place for the pizza place by my house. in speaking to the person on the phone i asked if they were located in the walmart parking lot. he said no and gave me the name of the place i was looking for. i asked if they deliver in my area. he stated they deliver withing a 5 mile radius of the place. i'm a chicago style pizza guy myself however i told him i would try their pizza based on the the blogs i had read, about there place. they were really nice and took the time to answer my questions. i ordered a medium pizza and a philly cheese stake. the pizza and cheese steak showed up piping hot! the driver had a cool italian accent and was very accommodating. the prices were very reasonable and the pizza looked like it just came out of the oven when it arrived. it was delicious, you have a new repeat customer ! bravo
