delicious lunch!. this is the third time i've eaten at 1906 and every time it has been wonderful. today's lunch was particuarly delicious. my husband and i had the warmed cheese appetizer which had 3 delicious relishes with it and of course, the mushroom soup which a favorite and not to be missed. my husbandchosethe mushroom lasagna for his entree and ichosethe barnegat light scallops which were the best i' ve ever eaten in my 42 years....grilled perfectly. the mushroom lasagna was hearty and flavorful but not too rich that you felt overstuffed. we each had a drink with lunch. i had the blueberry lemonade cocktail and my husband the 1906 signature cocktail...both of which were delicious with our lunch. for dessert, we had the strawberry and angel cake with a rose flavored sorbet - very refreshing and i had the plain chocolate ice cream from a local dairy farm that was the creamiest i've had since the 1970's at wallabe farms. our waitress was attentive and the food came out timely from the kitchen. it was such a treat and we will continue to eat here every time we visit longwood gardens. we're so happy that someone has reinvented the resaurant after a few years of dismal meals and brought it back to the caliber of the gardens. excellent.
