this place has lost the charm it used to have. went with a couple of friends on a friday night and i was really disappointed.
the service was not up to the mark at all. the waiters themselves were confused about what was available and what wasn't, it was very chaotic.
weorderedcrispy corn and cottage cheese sticks for starters and they were decent, not great.
weorderednachos towards the end and to be honest it was just some maida fried in oil with grated cheese on top. this was the worst experience i've ever had with a dish as simple as nachos. it was terrible.
the music and the whole experience was very disappointing and i would not recommend this place to anybody. it is also very over priced for the kind of food and service they provide.

the food is good along with a decent ambience. i went with my friend a couple of times. weordereda combo which has a glass of beer/ dessert with a main course. as it was told earlier the food is good but not the beer. they serve only kingfisher and it tastes very bad. may be they can change the brand or quality for a way better experience.
and the important thing is food combo will be served between 12-3pm. but overall a great place to spend! cheers!

place is good..but options of liquor is very few ..u don't get any premium drinks here....haniken is the best beer they have....iorderedlit it was ok ..it was mixture of very low quality liquor...

according to me it's a quite over hyped place. food tastes average and they can definitely work upon there presentation. weorderedbamboo rice and certainly expecting a good presentation but no one can figure out that they we were bamboo rice by looking at them

ordered schezwan fried rice and then only plain rice was brought . while asking the waiter first says that schezwan takes 40 minutes to get ready , wonder why dint he say while we ordered.

and then the second time says that weorderedwrongly. please this is not you can treat the customer . please accept the fact that you had taken the order wrongly . get some accountability into your waiters.

the competition is getting fierce in chennai . 10d is not the only place anymore

i heard a lot of positive reviews from my friends regarding this restaurant. so one fine day i landed up her with a friend. it was not crowded yet the service was poor. they did not attend to us until we called more than twice for every order. the cheese ball starter was over priced but the quantity was too less. weorderedmain course of some naan and paneer gravy, which was again a disappointment. they just placed the food on the table and left but there were no plated given to have the food. i'm fine dining restaurants like these, we wouldn't mind even if price is high and the visit is worth it. but it was not.

on 8th of december i went all excited with a friend who's in the city from a foreign country, being a regular customer of 10d i preferred taking here for lunch here but my hopes were all trashed in a bin! iorderedfor a crispy potato with schezwan sauce with coriander rice and my friendorderedfor prawns with lemon garlic sauce and garlic rice., the sauce with the potatoes were dead hot and was very very sour, the potatoes might have been coated in egg which was left raw give it a very different taste.. i sent it back and within 3 minutes i get it back which made it pretty obvious that there was just more water and cornflower slurry added to it because the taste this time was completely dead.. the waiter after this had no expression on his face as he knew it was actually true and tasted horrible but i survived by eating just the sauteed rice, the exact same story was with the prawns where my friend had just a couple of bites to make me happy and to help me not to feel guilty about it! i request the management to take serious steps towards the downfall of the quality of food being served as its not what i used to it a couple of years before!

i went there with my colleagues on thursday. we chose this restaurant based on its good reviews.
this restaurant have good ambiance. crowd is also good.
but they have very less options in beer , if you are not a fan of kingfisher beer then this is not a place for you. liit didn’t tasted how it was supposed to be
we found only the chicken lasagne to be decent enough, rest of the food items weorderedwere simply not good.
honestly i was disappointed after going to this restaurant.

i've always been a 10d fan but the last few visits have been disappointing to say the least. their pub lunch sucked big time, with a watered down cocktail and over salted combo. weorderedfor a starter. got the drinks, starter and lunch all at once!!! hope they get back their groove or they will lose very many loyal patrons.

i know how most of the reviews here exclaim on the emphasis of how great downing street's food combos are, but! i have been where you are. the menu is confusing. just, too many options to choose from. no? well, maybe it's just me then.

anyhow, 

i recently happened to visit 10d a couple of days back and i had the best time. it's by far the best place to hangout with your gang. it's not really much of a solo thing, however, there is a bar. there is a counter, with seats. if you're into that. 

anyhow, weorderedthree non veg combos and just shared to play it safe. i now know exactly what's the best. and i'm here to help.

weorderedfrom the "oriental combos" menu.
1. roast chicken red chilli style with thai chicken fried rice
2. shredded chicken with red peppers with chicken hakka noodles
3. seafood two way with singapore fried rice (prawns and fish)

now don't let the chilli symbol next to seafood fool you. it was the least spicy of these three dishes.
that being cleared. 

roast chicken red chilli style was a gravy, not a starter. (we expected it'd be dry) 
in fact, all the main dishes were gravies. 
quantity of the gravy was just perfect, it had the perfect portion as to complement with the rice or noodles counterpart of your order. spice levels were really good. if you're into the heat of your gravy, no doubt. this is the one to go. it has chicken, it has a thick gravy with spice and the heat. and thai fried rice perfectly goes with it to blend all the spices right in your mouth.

shredded chicken with red peppers was the second spiciest of the three that we had, considering it was paired with hakka noodles, it wasn't our best ordering. i suggest you try thai or singapore noodles rather than hakka. hakka just doesn't complement with your gravy counterpart with destroys the concept of your palate. shredded chicken as it's supposed to be was well ground chicken with red chilli and capsicum with a semi-spicy gravy.

seafood two way was the least spicy of all. it was not great considering they put a chilli symbol next to it. it had a sweet flavour to it. the ratio between prawns and fish wasn't that great, it was slightly bland. i expected it would be and it could be a lot spicier. but i found red chilli style chicken much spicier. but, if you're a seafood lover, think no more. this one has a great combination of fish and prawns that goes fine with your counterpart. wish it was spicier but it was fine nevertheless.

overall i loved the ambience. probably one of the best rustic appearances with a modern touch. keeping the centuries old bar & eatery look still fresh and fine. perfect air conditioning, good music. great job on the staff and maintenance part.
while the exclusive drinks are expensive, i'm glad they have the combo deal to accommodate casual foodies!

ambience is pretty decent. been here with a group of 4. we haveorderedcrispy chicken lasagna, paneer tikka, crispy corn, french fries and 4 different mocktails: fruit punch, carribean exotica and 2 others.
carribean exotica has this intense flavour of coconut. you can try it if you would like to. i liked it though.

well everything was delicious except for the paneer tikka. it was just plain. not very tasty.

the volume of the music was normal. it wouldn’t disturb your conversation. please note: we were there from 1pm to 3pm on a thursday . so not really a party time. i don’t know how the music’s gonna be on the weekends.

so i'll tell this upfront, i don't drink, so i only went here because a friend was hosting a bunch of us here. i had little expectations for the food because, well, it's a pub. food isn't really supposed to be great at these places.

but i have to admit, i was wrong! the food was actually pretty decent and it wasn't very expensive too! they had this lunch combo which would give a person a drink/soup, a main course and a dessert. iordereda soup, a lasagna and some vanilla ice-cream.

the soup was pretty decent and the lasagna was very nice too! i genuinely enjoyed the lasagna there! however, other dishes that i tasted such as white pasta, augratin; they all had the same taste. the white sauce tasted the same. all the same, i enjoyed the experience.

i have been visiting this place for the last 3 years. it used to be a good hangout place for me.

but yesterday it was a disaster. i don't think i am going back again.

weorderedfor golden fried prawns - which was pretty bland and chicken nachos - which was ok.

in drinks weorderedcosmopolitan - which was a disaster, too sweet. and also many of the drinks mentioned in the menu were unavailable. this is the situation on a friday.

to make things worse dj was pathetic, playing songs for the sake of it. we walked out as soon as possible. i am not surprised to see the ratings have gone down for this place.

i haveorderedan alfredo pasta from your place and the pasta was pathetic with uncooked carrot, beans and cauliflower
there is only cream added to those uncooked vegetables and not even salt was added
the worst pasta i have ever had
