of late 10 d has stood tall in serving my party needs. the one stop destiny for splendid ambiance and drinks. stewarts here havegreatdeal of respect towards their customers and are quite amiable. last but not least is the food, all the cravings for your taste buds are pleasantly satisfied.

what a fantastic place. good ambience and friendly staff. agreatplace to chillout with gang. everyday theme party is the best part, especially bollywood night on each sunday.

it's a very nice place for hangout.
stag entry is there which is ₹1000 per guy and for women there is no entry charges.
1 thing which is never clarified in the entry is that 1000 per person unlimited food and beverage. (keep this in mind)
it's got an old english ambience. but although it's written no smoking but people smoke like anything, which is troublesome for non smokers.
staff is very warm and also considerate when you are getting over drunk. i found this very humanitarian on the part of the restaurant staff, who helped us in saving quite a buck.
food is kind of okay, personally i liked chilly chicken of all.
music wasgreatand so was dance floor.

they got ladies night on wednesdays which isgreatfun! this place is a wonderful pick on all other days too, be it brunch with colleagues or late lunch with friends or a cozy dinner for two on a boring night. i have loved hanging out at this place on numerous occasions in chennai and it's one of my favorite places in the city. the food is delicious, the menu offers a decent variety and their lunch combos are ✌️

i know how most of the reviews here exclaim on the emphasis of howgreatdowning street's food combos are, but! i have been where you are. the menu is confusing. just, too many options to choose from. no? well, maybe it's just me then.

anyhow, 

i recently happened to visit 10d a couple of days back and i had the best time. it's by far the best place to hangout with your gang. it's not really much of a solo thing, however, there is a bar. there is a counter, with seats. if you're into that. 

anyhow, we ordered three non veg combos and just shared to play it safe. i now know exactly what's the best. and i'm here to help.

we ordered from the "oriental combos" menu.
1. roast chicken red chilli style with thai chicken fried rice
2. shredded chicken with red peppers with chicken hakka noodles
3. seafood two way with singapore fried rice (prawns and fish)

now don't let the chilli symbol next to seafood fool you. it was the least spicy of these three dishes.
that being cleared. 

roast chicken red chilli style was a gravy, not a starter. (we expected it'd be dry) 
in fact, all the main dishes were gravies. 
quantity of the gravy was just perfect, it had the perfect portion as to complement with the rice or noodles counterpart of your order. spice levels were really good. if you're into the heat of your gravy, no doubt. this is the one to go. it has chicken, it has a thick gravy with spice and the heat. and thai fried rice perfectly goes with it to blend all the spices right in your mouth.

shredded chicken with red peppers was the second spiciest of the three that we had, considering it was paired with hakka noodles, it wasn't our best ordering. i suggest you try thai or singapore noodles rather than hakka. hakka just doesn't complement with your gravy counterpart with destroys the concept of your palate. shredded chicken as it's supposed to be was well ground chicken with red chilli and capsicum with a semi-spicy gravy.

seafood two way was the least spicy of all. it was notgreatconsidering they put a chilli symbol next to it. it had a sweet flavour to it. the ratio between prawns and fish wasn't that great, it was slightly bland. i expected it would be and it could be a lot spicier. but i found red chilli style chicken much spicier. but, if you're a seafood lover, think no more. this one has agreatcombination of fish and prawns that goes fine with your counterpart. wish it was spicier but it was fine nevertheless.

overall i loved the ambience. probably one of the best rustic appearances with a modern touch. keeping the centuries old bar & eatery look still fresh and fine. perfect air conditioning, good music.greatjob on the staff and maintenance part.
while the exclusive drinks are expensive, i'm glad they have the combo deal to accommodate casual foodies!

loved the ambience, would definitely recommend this place to those who want to have agreattime on weekends. the food was amazing and presented perfectly.

so i'll tell this upfront, i don't drink, so i only went here because a friend was hosting a bunch of us here. i had little expectations for the food because, well, it's a pub. food isn't really supposed to begreatat these places.

but i have to admit, i was wrong! the food was actually pretty decent and it wasn't very expensive too! they had this lunch combo which would give a person a drink/soup, a main course and a dessert. i ordered a soup, a lasagna and some vanilla ice-cream.

the soup was pretty decent and the lasagna was very nice too! i genuinely enjoyed the lasagna there! however, other dishes that i tasted such as white pasta, augratin; they all had the same taste. the white sauce tasted the same. all the same, i enjoyed the experience.

been to this place for dinner with my foodie friends.
good music -greatspeakers! good job by the sound guy!

 it's difficult when you are a visitor in a city and hunting for a cool restro pub to take very important customers for a good time. then someone suggested 10 downing. and coincidently the guests were from the uk and so that name drew quite some laughs when i mentioned where we are going :) reaching the place was a little challenging given the traffic. however, once inside, it's all good. ample parking space saves you from the hassle and risk of parking on the roadside. the first thing that strikes you when you get in is the ambience. liked it very much and must say that it indeed brought in a feel of walking into an old british pub. seating pretty nice and comfortable; chose the kind you prefer - high chair, low chair, bar seating, sofa! got a large screen projection. food is fairly good and would say just above average and light on the pocket. no regrets. i loved their bar; splendid with all choices available. excellent staff and we were taken care of quite well. there's a smoking area just outside the place for those who like a shot of nicotine with their drinks.

overall, agreatexperience and my customers went back happy. will come back next time i am in chennai.

we chose this place based on thegreatreviews/ratings but were terribly disappointed. food was ok. music sucked big time. but the major letdown was the service/staff.

may be worth a one time visit because of all the hype around this place.
