zanzabar cannot fry food anymore. i'm not sure why but anything on their menu that's fried, including the basic fries and tots, cannot be ordered any longer. frankly, their chicken tenders and fish were the only good thing about the place, besides the 75 cent beer (that you have to pay $10 at the door to get) and the pinball. the menu on the site is wrong as it includes all the foods they can't make anymore. just a heads up. it's still a decent music venue but i feel it necessary to let people know of this turn of events.

truth be told, z bar could use a bath. aside from that, this is a fun place to go when you are on the uofl campus. close by and very eclectic, z bar keeps you guessing what is next.

contrary to popular belief this is not a good place to meet women. (at least not on a weeknight) but the foods pretty good.

zanzabar always has a great energy in it, is fun, and has great food. when you add their beer selection and a few good friends there isn’t much to complain about.

yum! new menu!. z bar has a new menu..and it's awesome. the beer cheese is delicious. the hummus plate is delicious. i've been 3 times since the new menu. first trip, pulled pork sandwich w/tater tots..perfection. second trip, chicken melt- everything blended together so well. third trip, fish & chips..best fish and chips i've had, and i grew up on an island where fresh fish was up for grabs every day. the fries are the perfect amount of crunchy/soft with great texture. i highly, highly recommend giving z bars menu a taste.

i challenge you to a jousting duel........ on the awesome joust arcade game. if you forget your quarters, they have conveniently installed a change machine! but this place is better than your old mall arcade..... they have beer! and while you can enjoy a can of pbr, you can also enjoy a wide selection of craft brews on tap. and the food is pretty darn good too!

the best bar in the ville. cool owners, excellent chef & knowledgeable bartenders. kick ass food, great beer selection, live music. this is the best bar in the ville.
