best breakfast in charlotte!. zada jane's is one of the few places in charlotte with espresso and and a unique breakfast menu. it's also the place we bring visitors for breakfast when they are in town. on weekends, there is usually a wait for a table, but we always wait - it's that good.
the bunny rancheros dish is fantastic, and their biscuits are big and fluffy (and much better than flying biscuit). i like the fact that you can take any of their omelets and wrap them into a yummy burrito instead. also don't forget to check the board for specials -- sometimes they have berry pancakes which are absolutely delicious.
service is usually quick and always friendly. we like to sit around the bar and chat with roger, one of the owners. he's super nice and fun to talk to.
if you like specialty coffees, try the frappabeano in the summer - it's an iced coffee drink that tastes like a milkshake! the other day i could not figure out what i wanted, and roger recommended the brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino. i'm glad i tried it, because it was fantastic!
one word of warning - zada's parking lot is small, so arrive early (or extra late) if you don't want to have to hunt for a spot on the street.
