best breakfast in clt. hands down the best place to get your breakfast with friends and family. they also get most fo their meat from grateful growers in charlotte, which i do appreciate. i would recommend booker t. absolutely delicious!

i think our server hates people in general. our order came out wrong and the place is empty. we asked to have our table wiped down and got attitude from the hippie lady who was our people-hating server. the food was ok but not worth going more than 100ft out ofthe way to get.

slooooowest service in town.. if you want competent hippy servers, go to dish. here, they may forget they had your table, or disregard a random request.. or even mutter "conformist" under their breath. they have decent breakfast, the rest of the stuff is kind of over priced.

two hours for burned bacon?. arrived this morning to see a large and apparently happy
crowd enjoying breakfast. the hostess told me to expect a wait of 20-25 minutes. during the next 75 minutes i checked with her 2 times to make sure we were still on her list and checked again when a "similar" name was called.
she assured me that we were on her list. finally we were
seated and ordered simple basic breakfasts. our food
arrived 20 minutes later. the bacon was burned (half of it was black), eggs not cooked as ordered, bread , not toast, was on my plate and my husband was told that the kitchen was out of biscuits. the roasted potatoes looked and tasted like they were prepared several days ago. the mixed berry preserves was nice.

didnt even order.. after arriving we were told "sit where ever you want:" than the waitress walked away, . we sat for 10-15 minutes without anyone giving us menus while the wait staff cleaned the windows and counters and never once were we acknowledged or even offered a menu. so after the long wait and no menus or even hellos. we decided to walk down the street for better service. it smelled good in there just would have been better if we had be given the chance to order.

gotta go to zada jane's. the service and food was excellent. mr. raymer was extremely helpful, we were visiting from miami and he drew my wife and i a map of local points of interest. we will be traveling back to north carolina and will always make a stop at zada jane's.

less than average. live in plaza midwood so i've frequented all the local establshments (including the well established and the newcomers). i've been to zada jane's 4 times. each time i ask myself, "why did i give this place one more try?" on a good day the food almost reaches mediocrity, it's too expensive for what it strives to be - let alone what it is, and the service is consistently slow and not particularly friendly. should be a cool place (wants to be like some of the asheville restaurants (think: early girl), but has never even come close. also, the vegetarian choices have been bland and uninspired. this why non-veggies think vegetarian food tastes like cardboard.

why????. i live near zada jane's and have been in a few times. each time i ask myself "why did i come back here?" zj offers mediocre food at best and sloooow service in a uninspired setting. i guess i go back b/c other people keep saying they like the place. i've learned my lesson - way overhyped.

good food, bad service. we used to go to zada jane's, but after having rude waitresses and bad service over and over we stopped.
it always took a long time to get our food and the waitresses never checked on us after taking our order. i had to get up a get my own coffee many of times. it's a shame because their food is pretty good!

my father has talked about going to the smokey mountains and panning for gold for as long as i can remember. to be honest, i don’t know if those two things are event consistent with one another… like going to napa and enjoying the tropical weather, when n

i used to come here 2 or more times a week. there was always some issue but i figured it was worth it because i really enjoyed the food. a couple months ago i came in and ordered my usual and was told that they were no longer doing poached eggs on the weekends. this tells me that they must not be putting money/focus where it needs to be: good kitchen staff. the recipes are great when they are made right. when they are wrong, don't expect an apology. i've had burnt scrambled eggs, burnt/raw and somehow burnt and raw sweet potatoe browns. service is also iffy. sometimes i feel like i'm some sort of intruder and i should be grateful that they are willing to serve me. tonight service was terrible and they were not even a bit apologetic. $35 to treated like shit? never again! i've said if before but this time i mean it. i will say, though, if charlotte is there, you will get kind and respectful service. but, honestly, i'm not wasting my money here ever again.

best breakfast in charlotte!. zada jane's is one of the few places in charlotte with espresso and and a unique breakfast menu. it's also the place we bring visitors for breakfast when they are in town. on weekends, there is usually a wait for a table, but we always wait - it's that good.

the bunny rancheros dish is fantastic, and their biscuits are big and fluffy (and much better than flying biscuit). i like the fact that you can take any of their omelets and wrap them into a yummy burrito instead. also don't forget to check the board for specials -- sometimes they have berry pancakes which are absolutely delicious.

service is usually quick and always friendly. we like to sit around the bar and chat with roger, one of the owners. he's super nice and fun to talk to.

if you like specialty coffees, try the frappabeano in the summer - it's an iced coffee drink that tastes like a milkshake! the other day i could not figure out what i wanted, and roger recommended the brown sugar cinnamon cappuccino. i'm glad i tried it, because it was fantastic!

one word of warning - zada's parking lot is small, so arrive early (or extra late) if you don't want to have to hunt for a spot on the street.

zada janes and its fabulousness. i have been to this place a few times and i absolutely love it. i tell everyone i know about it. the people who work there are so nice and just love to get to know you. everything is reasonably priced and tastes better than what it costs. when i read other reviews about people not liking how it is "overly healthy" and is "25 dollars for two sandwiches and drinks" i cant help but to think, have these people ever eaten anywhere but chick-fil-a and bojangles. i don't know what is expected of a sit down restaurant that offers healthy food, some organic and fair trade, but those people must not have stepped out of their house before except to go pick up some fried fat.
this place, zada jane's, is amazing. if it were any closer i would eat there everyday. i highly recommend it.

i want this place to succeed..... i was really excited when i heard zada janes was opening.service is always friendly.i been there about a dozen or so times,
but today was the last time i will give it a chance.it's always something.usually its the fact that it takes too long to get your food.the food was not good at all today.i got the basic breakfast.....scrambled eggs were rubbery and greasy and looked like they were chopped up.fruit salad was not fresh and the sausage was really hard and chewy.you guys have a great idea but you are screwing it up.
