we each got their lunch set to try out— mine being their wasyoku set, which consisted of teriyaki gindara fish 🐟 , fried shrimp tempura 🍤, salmon sashimi, rice, soup, vegetable side dishes 🥗 and homemade ice cream (not pictured) 🍨 yup, it’s a mouthful. and very filling too! the fish was great— saucy, tender and deboned quite well! sashimi was fresh, rice was fluffy and soup was warm and filling. 🍲 not too happy though about the tempura, if i were to be honest. it wasn’t as crispy as i would have liked it. presentation of the whole dish was wonderful though, gotta hand it to them. ❤️ but it was really, really pricey.

for the amount they were charging, they could really work on the tempura’s consistency, just saying.

we ate here for my mother’s birthday celebration! fortunately, we had discount cards and we were able to avail 50% off. the best part were the scallops and steak being cooked in front of us by our personal chef. we ended our night with a food coma (as expected) and a happy tummy.

what we've tried was teppanyaki, the eat-all-you can portion of yurakuen japanese restaurant.
? the vibe was just awesome, t'was twilight-ish..
? the service was just chill, serving complimentary tea is predictable jasmine tea. would love to have a better variety of tea choice..
? the chef is quite polite. he asks you when and where to serve you their freshly prepped food.
? the flavors are bold, straight-forward (totally like me) and the chef would let you appreciate its natural flavors..
? that dessert : almond ice cream with roasted tropical fruits..

? the valet parking.. tsk tsk
? i was expecting more from the sashimi and sushi they are offering..
? more variety for their beverage section please..
? the flavors are great, i'd like more techniques than the sautee and serve style.. grill, perhaps or quick braise..
? the orange juice was like wtf. but the personnel warned me about this, and she knew it's not good at all..

i have always loved this place!!!!
it's also one of my family's favorite japanese restaurants as well. i have had their donburis, shrimp tempura, chicken teriyaki, makis and various dishes. for this particular visit, i had pork katsudon and chicken karaage. the karaage was perfectly crispy and my katsudon as always was delicious. i love how they give big proportions for each meal. overall, the food is delicious and i would highly recommend the place! service is exceptional and staff are all friendly. ❤️

the place looks stylish and luxurious. such a relaxing and fancy area. food and pricing are also up there. had lunch set there which had decent portions and their ice cream is fantastic! the waitresses are very friendly and professional. only main downside to this place is that are food took a long time, more than 30 minutes.

very attentive staff. superb sushi abd sashimi! i especially love their grilled gindara. the function room, sakura room for our recent visit, gives that ryokan feel. it could use a sunken table to complete that authentic japanese ambience.

one of the best japanese restaurants in town. the cool ambiance complemented the great food they served..food prices are a bit on the high side but this is compensated by good customer service, their servers are all accomodating. worth a revisit.

good japanese resto where you can get quality hamachi sashimi. tempura, agedashi tofu, and seafood chahan were disappointing, average taste and poorly plated. bento boxes were okay, nothing special to make me come back. overall, the sashimi and dessert was the only thing i liked here.

we had their teppanyaki eat all you can and it was definitely a nice experience. i think it's still a bit pricey for what it is, but it's something to be experienced, especially if you're looking for something a bit more intimate and interesting than your standard restaurant experience. the meal comes with free unlimited juice, i had the orange juice which was a legit pulpy orange juice, not any cheap stuff. you can order a variety of sushi and sashimi and meats and seafood to cook.

i found the most special thing here to be the scallops, and you can get these huge scallops here that you wouldn't be able to get easily elsewhere. the shrimp and squid we're pretty standard. the best of their meat i'd have to say was the beef tenderloin, the beef sirloin is fattier but it's not quite as easy to eat. for the fried rice it's definitely best to get the mixed fried rice as you'll get both beef and seafood in it, and they give you a lot of fried rice.

this is pricey, no doubt about it, but it's a fun experience, in a very beautiful setting.

really love the food here, dined here twice already, both without photos, because you are that drawn into the food. their set meals for lunch are quite good, and the teppanyaki is the best! the fried rice is really great and the vanilla ice cream as well.

the food is amazing!! it was such a pity because they didn't have the salmon sashimi but it was fine.

the seafood fried rice seemed like any ordinary fried rice but the presentation was awesome and the taste is really good.

scallops were so big! it was juicy sof and tasty.

tiger prawns were cooked really well. it was still crunchy and the taste is great!

red snapper sashimi
this was the first time i tried the dish and it did not disappoint.

we went there at lunch time. as soon as we arrived, they already start preparing the things to be used for the teppanyaki. they eventually get and serve our orders. nothing special with the taste of the food. yes, they serve quality meats. what make it special is they get to cook it in front of you. they just put basic seasonings like salt and pepper, butter, garlic & soy sauce.

very accomodating staff.
the maki and sashimi are okay.
the highlight for me is the seafood friend rice and the scallops. the food is prepared in front of you and since this is a buffet, you can ask them too cook as much as you can eat.

they are already miles away. not like the chefs before. this time foods are all burnt.
meats are stir fry.
full of burnt smell.
no art.
nothing.

3 is for the ingredients. zero for the cook.
