update: i am downgrading to 3.5 based on last 2 experiences in redhook. they are always skimpy with the broth in the bowls and last time it lacked flavor. i also got the pan fried veggie dumplings and they were underdone and soppy with oil

i have eaten at the kingston location and woodstock location and have never been disappointed. the noodle bowls are dynamite, so is the pad thai (they use dark meat which is a clutch move) and the burger they offer is incredible. i wish could order two of the burgers for myself in one seating without feeling ashamed of myself. it's that good. update: the new red hook location is just as good. great food, great beers, great service. if i could only find something for the incredible sadness that comes over me when i’m near the end of my dish 😀 . keeps me looking forward to the next time.

tantalizing on the tastebuds. we stopped by for dinner on a sunday evening. we actually live closer to the woodstock yum yum, but it's a smaller space than the kingston restaurant and, due to its deserved popularity, is often too crowded for us to relax, decompress and enjoy. if, like us, you don't enjoy eating in crowded restaurants, this seems to be a good time to visit. we started with a daily special appetizer that was absolutely fantastic - tempura fried zucchini on a steamed bun with thai basil aioli. the combination was shockingly wonderful and more interesting on the palate than it sounds. it was so good that we ordered another one to take home. for our entrees, we both chose noodle bowls with a beautifully seared fillet of salmon as the protein, rice noodles for the noodle option, and the coconut curry for the broth. the bowls came with a healthy serving of veggies and a hard boiled egg. we were not disappointed...everything tasted fresh and flavorful (without being salty). for beverages, we had a hot black tea (fragrant premium loose black tea leaves served in a glass carafe) and a refreshing iced honey jasmine green tea. the service was excellent from beginning to end...we'll definitely return.

awesome! went to the kingston location. i had the coconut almond curry. was not spicy but extra spice was on the table. my girlfriend had the coconut curry noodles. both were just excellent. prices were reasonable. we'll go there again for sure.

choose wisely. it was dinner for two.i had the pork buns(around 9 dollars).good flavor but the pork in the buns was extremely hard to find.for what i paid for this entree-not worth it.my date had pad tai.the portion was better and the taste was good.the dining room does not have a good atmosphere in my opinion-open air and very loud.if you want an intimate atmosphere go elsewhere.this place caters to the new boheim type crowd as was clearly shown by the clientele present.2 out of 4 stars here.

awesome!. what a great surprise to find this fabulous restaurant that has been in kingston a shorter amount of time than i have! we had the pad thai with chicken, and the chicken coconut almond curry with rice and grilled asparagus. we split our dinners so i got sample both entrees. first i had the chicken coconut curry. omg! what an incredible flavor. if you are thinking curry is hot, forget it. there was no heat, just an amazing flavor. i was loving it so much, i did not want to keep the agreement of switching plates half way through. but i did. now i have had pad thai many times. i can truly say this is the best i have ever had. it was very tasty, had veggies in it, and was not loaded down with noodles. i could not believe that i was enjoying it as much as i had enjoyed the first dish. and the portion sizes are perfect. the atmosphere of the place is great. all in all, an exceptional experience. we will be going back.

yum! noodle bars are amazing and it's a mystery why woodstock and kingston were noddle-less before these owners made it happen... the menu is kid friendly, budget friendly and most importantly delish! i like to feed my family good food and give my business to good people so yum yum is an easy choice. all the noodles are tasty and the kale salad is a favorite of ours. it's clearly a labor of love.
