had three curries, butter chicken allo ghobi and a jalfrezi. i liked the sauce that went with the curries but was disappointed with the amount of meat in the non veg curries. very very stingy. i think they need to lift their game.

yes. very good food with decent price. ordered a chicken saag, a butter chicken medium spicy, papadom and a naan. noticed that the main doesnt come with the naan bread. but overall very good :)

an amazing restaurant. the service was great. the wait time for our food was normal considering they do take out as well. my wife had chicken masala and i had prawn saagawala. both were very nice. however, the garlic naan bread was exceptional. we will go there again.

this was an uber eats delivery however i was so impressed with the food felt compelled to write a review. we had chicken sola, salt and pepper prawns and it was devine. we also ordered the raita. the chicken sola came with a delicious fresh minty dressing and it was tender and delicious. the prawns indescribable. delicious. the portions were big and have half left over for breakfast. won’t disappoint. highly recommended. talented chef

my most beloved indian restaurant in wellington - live nearby and i've been there for dates, byos, and takeaways more times than i can count! staff are lovely and the atmosphere is charming as well

absolutely delicious. tandoori cooked chicken in a vindaloo is just amazing and when you order hot and get indian hot and not european hot it's just that much better

hot lamb vindaloo was a spiced-up rogan rosh, chicken saag was missing any real spinach. order was ready in 8 mins (too fast for any real cooking to be done). sadly we have been regulars to this place but now need a new local curry spot.

excellent flavours, although as a rule of thumb always order one level hotter than you actually want: the mild is code for added sugar, so go get dat medium instead.
service with a smile. ambience is usually nil but for the odd boisterous crowd of youths doing their byos. still, lovely decor and sturdy seating to wait in for your order to be ready.
oh god, and the garlic naan! sublime.
maybe not a destination restaurant but a reliable and tasty weeknight meal for sure.

i came here looking for something warm and filling after just getting off the plane and frantically trying to navigate to my stay (my first time in wellington from auckland)!

i found the place with no trouble, as its hidden inside a house and you need to go down the stairs, and the waitress was very friendly, and made me feel more welcomed (seeing as i was dining alone).

her service was very good! very tentative and patient!
i ordered a chicken curry dish which comes with rice and roti--the roti was flaky, light and crispy, they were so good!
the curry (i asked for mild) was creamy and the chicken was so tender!

was very satisfied with my meal, thanks welly!

can't ever go wrong with yellow chilli -our favourite go-to indian takeaway. would especially recommend the chicken saagwala and the really good naan breads. generous portions and decent prices.

my partner and i ordered takeaway from this restaurant having heard good things from friends and having been there a couple of years earlier and enjoyed the food. 
the service was good.

the value for money is pretty good however, when we got our food home and tried it, the curry was almost flavourless. i'm not sure if there has been a change in the cooking staff since the last time we went, but the quality is much much lower than the last time we dined there.
the curries tasted like a very dilute version of what we were expecting. so dilute that there was almost no flavour left.
we were very disappointed.

excellent takeaway curries!
was a perfect friday night dinner when i was living down the road.
yellow chilli do an awesome student deal; $15 for curry, rice, naan and a can of soft drink. my favourite is the mango chicken.
staff are friendly and service is quick.
one time mine got muddled with my flat mate's and i ended up having hot instead of mild. luckily we realised pretty quickly.

really poor quality. came here in a big group a while ago. very thin sauce in curries, no spice or flavor when we ordered medium. seemed watered down and bland, just horrible. staff rude and unpleasant too. avoid.
