best jumbo gyro in the city!. sure, you've got the 2 for $5 gyros right across 161 and cleveland ave, but if you want a jumbo gyro, there's no better place in the city. the meat tastes super fresh, as do all of the toppings. it's great to go, though i must say that the fries taste like they were crinkle cuts sitting under a heat lamp all day.

sundays i am off and they are closed but this. use to be one of my favorite places to eat. it has been a year from my last dining experience but love love love the hummus and lamb kebob.

this restaurant is not american friendly. my husband and i went to have some greek food. i thought, because the rating is so high here on urban spoon we would tried it. let me tell you....the food tasted old and full of msg. ( the chemical some people put in their food to mask the age.) the owner asked me if i was greek when he introduced himself and when i said no he then replied, " thats ashame you look greek." but the way he said it....was so rude. when i tried to explain to the server that my food tasted strange.....the owner came to the table and said. " how would you know what greek food tastes like....you are not greek!" after this, he just waved his hand and walked away. frankly, i came to this place because of the positive ratings. after visiting the restaurant, it is clear to me that the owner and the employee's falsly place positive reviews..........dine at your own risk!!!!

hidden gem. definitely worth trying out. best gyro sandwiches and desserts. get a bottle of their salad dressing!

not as good. we went to yanni's last night for dinner. this has been a staple for us for years, although i have to admit it has been a while since we've been there. i don't know if it was a bad night or if this visit is what it has become. service was inexcusable. there were only a few tables there but the server decided it was more important to continue his ten minute conversation than to acknowledge us. i ordered the greek salad. it was meager: bagged salad - the kind with carrots, radishes, purple cabbage, and iceburg lettuce. it also arrived with one cucumber slice, one tomato wedge (yuck!), two olives, and a smattering of feta cheese. oh, did i mention four very small pieces of cold pita? this is not the yanni's i remember. i am so dissappointed to see a favorite become at best, only average. the server never came back to ask if we wanted refills or how our food was.

disgraceful owner. my wife and i took some family to yanni's recently. we usually take a group. it was a cold day and my wife requested of the "owner of 25 years" a table away from the front door so that her 86 y.o mother wouldn't have to sit in the cold. this started a barage of nasty comments from the "owner of 25 years" as he titled himself. my wife made no nasty comments to this jerk of an owner, who eventually swore at her and told her to shut up, this restaurant may have decent food. but if you want to support another immigrant who has no more respect for it's customer's or american's than to get irritated and curse at them, please do so at your own risk. i did give the owner my 2 cents on his business demeanor and left to find a good restaurant. this behavior is irresponsible and this owner does not deserve your business no matter how good the food is.

simply the best. a coworker suggested me. i have eaten many greek places in different cities, yaani's stands best and totally different taste. i ordered the cajun chicken and the potion was big, i thought i can only eat the half but i did not realize i finished the whole plate in no time.

the soup was great. the food is really worth the price.

best in columbus. yanni's is simply the best cheap eat in columbus, offering great food, large portions, good service, and low prices. pay attention to their carry out specials the small gyro special is great!!!

the best greek place around. ok, so we love yanni's so much, we refer to fridays as "yanni's friday" cuz we get carry-out every friday. what a great start to the weekend. awesome portions, flavor, servers and everything else! i've had almost everything on their menu, and i've never been disappointed. yanni's beats out nazareth, mykonos, grape vine, etc., etc... one of my top 3 favorite restaurants around. period.
