first order to go.... i've heard many great things about this restaurant, and i've been ever so attentive to the recent reviews here as well...with our first order being take out...i figured that this would serve as a nice test to them. well, they passed on all levels. the restaurant upon my arrival had a nice ambiance for me...dark, dimly lit but in a classy way...not as if they're trying to hide something! (we all know what those restaurants look and feel like!) also, by appearances, it felt very clean...and the staff was very inviting. (another good test, go later on a sunday when their weekend is about over.)

the plates that i took home were uniquely wrapped in foil to keep the food as warm as possible, this includes the bottom of the plate. however, fear as i initially did...the foil was exceptionally strong and did not tear! the guacamole; beans; rice; chicken enchiladas; salsa and shredded beef chimichangas were all excellent. they've earned my respect...a really nice first impression! i am looking forward to returning for a dinner service.

fabulous mole and pork carnitas. well worth the drive off 15. service fast and friendly. a gem. can't wait to come back!!

always back for more!. took some friends here from so cal and all i heard was how it would be a waste of time to take them to any place where mexican is on the menu... since they were "from so cal"... after a delicious meal, we agreed that (for now) they could still claim to dominate wa in football (the real pigskin "football")...that is...
...but that xochimilco earned its spot among the best. what more could you expect from scers? :-) the meals were great all around...but the mole won their hearts! great job!

best mexican food in yakima?. if not the best, it is among the best to be sure. it is clearly not the average fare to be sure. the service is great! the menu offers real great items. everyone it seems is always telling me that this place ot that place has "the best mole" and even though i dont like it, i always bite only to be disappointed. but this place has mole unlike any you will ever try! very spicy and delicious! the guac is fresh and great and there isnt a bad item on the menu. spoil yourself...give it a try!

we called in an order of burritos with no beans on the side, when we got home we realized they were enchiladas with shredded barley seasoned meat, so much meat it would make you gag. my husband called to tell them of their error and the woman on the phone said that we said no beans inside so that means its an enchilada then hung up after absolutely no hostility from my husband. over priced poor quality food and service, will never go again.

fabulous! we have been searching for a good mexican restaurant in yakima. we read the reviews, have high hopes, and then leave disappointed-until now. the salsa here is very good. the mole is so delicious. if i had not been taught good manners, i would have licked my plate. looking forward to our next trip through yakima.

great. we were so surprised when we walked in for dinner on a friday night and was greated by a mariachi band. how fun!! the food is great, we have made this our friday night date place!!

i come here with my parents whenever they are in town and we both love it. the food is delicious and the waitresses are always friendly, attentive and efficient. the food is pretty authentic as well!

holy mole'! is this the best mexican restaurant in yakima? judge for yourself, especially if you're a fan of mole'. we read another review that praised their traditional sauce, and i wanted to try it for myself. i ordered the three meat fajitas, which i thought came with the mole' sauce. i was mistaken, but after i explained my mistake and asked for a side of mole' , they gladly did, complimentary, and with more rice and beans. the mole' was not the sweet, cocoa laden variety i'm used to, but more smokey/spicy and a little bitter. for me, it wasn't great by itself, but it proved to be an awesome addition to my fajitas, which were already great. this authentic style of mole' may be an acquired taste.the service was genuine and gracious. i live in seattle where we have many great dining out choices, and i am really impressed with the food and service here!

no squirt. friendly service, but no squirt. how is it a tequila bar without squirt. for those of you that don't know tequila originates from the mexican state of jalisco. any bar you go to serves cubas which is tequila with squirt. dissapointing.

i liked xochimilco enough to recommend it to others. the chips and salsa were not my favorite but the chimichanga, rice and beans were good and the margarita was excellent. they were very busy so the service was not the best but once our orders were taken it got better. i'm from texas and eat a lot of good, authentic tex-mex and real mexican food so i'm a harsh critic when it comes to out-of-state places. overall a good experience and i would go back again.

took my wife and family there. there was a mariachi band. the service and food was excellent for a friday night. i had fajitas my wife had the seafood burrito and my daughter had the chicken mole a and it was all excellent
