very unassuming atmosphere, yet really good food! my omelette was the perfect size and the hash browns were meaty and crispy at the same time. the eggs are definitely farm fresh based on the yolk size and how they broke apart. the kosher salami spiced just right. the only thing i would ask for is fresh squeezed oj, this definitely tasted from concentrate. i'll definitely be coming back!!

easily one of the worst restaurants i have ever visited. we went there for breakfast - waited about 35 minutes, told the waitress that we needed to be out of there within an hour from sitting and received our food right at that one hour point. in comparison, other groups of patrons sat after us and received their food well before us (we figured they lost our order even though when confronted, they kept telling us you are next).

none of our food was good after receiving it. my wife ordered an omelete with cheese. the omelete was not done and there was no cheese on it. we talked to our waitress, who was not apologetic and seemed to not care. we paid the bill hastily. then, we saw on the bill that we were charged for that cheese.

meanwhile, there was this gentleman who was sitting at the counter the entire time looking at an ipad - i presumed him to be the owner. he took out a dollar from his pocket and gave it to us as a refund.

i will never return to this restaurant.

big menu with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. fast and friendly service even at peak times. clearly family owned and managed.the owner is on-site each time we visit and is always soliciting feedback from diners. we've become semi-regulars even though it's a bit out of our way. some of the menu items sound crazy, like the goosed slinger which includes two eggs over hash browns with a burger patty and topped with chili, add cheese for a little extra. i love that they offer chorizo as an option on the breakfast dishes (hopple popple con chorizo? genius!) everything on the menu is jumbo-sized so you won't go home hungry, but the food is also top-notch casual fare with quality ingredients, including fresh vegetables in the omelets. the dining room decor is late 20th century granny but it seems apropos to the down-home cooking you'll get here.

the place was ok. the atmosphere reminded me of a nursing home. food was ok nothing special. after reading the reviews i was expecting a lot more.

after visting the wooden goose for the first time today i was higly dissapointed. at 11am on a thursday morning we waited over an hour to get out food. the service was also below expectation. additionally, the food was just mediocure and i was expecting better. the atmosphere of the resturant was antiquated also. i expected better from what i had heard from other who go there.

best breakfast in oz county!. where do i begin??? the consistency and quality at wooden goose is truly amazing. over easy eggs are always cooked to perfection, and the hash browns are crispy on the outside, yet tender and moist on the inside. pancakes are the best i've ever eaten anywhere try the pork sausage links....deeelish! my only complaint is my veggie omlette could have been much better if they had actually sauteed the veggies a little. atmosphere is great, with a country cozy vibe

great place. we've been going almost weekly for 20 years. the food is consistently excellent. there have been some negative comments about service in other reviews, but we've always have very good service.

terrible service but decent food. i have visited this establishment several times as it is close to my home in mequon. the food is decent, however the service it the worst i have ever experienced.

my first (and not last) rude encounter was over a year ago. the waitress, dressed in black with more piercings that you can imagine, was the rudest individual i have ever encountered in any restaurant establishment. my breakfast guests and i actually actually got up and left before even placing our order. while we had been frequent, weekly, visitors prior to this time this would be the last for almost a year. just recently i decided to return, hoping the wait staff had changed. unfortunately they had not and once again the service was lacking. actually that is too nice. the service was abhorable.

never again will i step foot in this 'white trash' establishment. their staff needs an 'extreme makeover'. if you don't belive me just log on the city serarch and see the reviews listed on that site.

i'm counting the days until a new owner/management team take over.
