winston's cafe

x-rated burger!!. my husband, son and i went to winston's for the monday night $5 burger special. it was fabulous! cooked perfectly, large portions (half pound) and the fries were outstanding! if i described the way i really feel about my experience with that burger last night this post would be flagged as pornographic. lets just say it was the best burger i have had in a long time and i woke up thinking of next monday night!

absolutely amazing! my husband and i were driving around greenbrier last weekend looking for a place to eat. little did we know that we would stumble upon winston's cafe--truely a hidden gem. our server was friendly and fast, the bartender came over and chatted with us for a few minutes, and the food was delicious!!! the prices are also very reasonable and i love the quaint, low key atmosphere. i promise you won't be disappointed if you visit winston's cafe!

excellent !. the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. just wish the place was larger (call ahead if you have a large party). never the less... highly recommended if you are looking for a great meal.

salmon oscar divine!. stopped in winston's on a friday night eager to try something new. i had heard the prime rib was good, but not being a big beef fan, decided to peruse the menu for something else. decided to try the salmon oscar...and it most definitely did not disappoint! the meal was delicious and plentiful. my only regret is not living closer to winston's in order to make that dish my friday routine.

great food and fun. we had the most fun going out to dinner in a long time. the food was amazing - i had the best fresh tuna in years. my husband loved his prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes. they also had live acoustic music which was just really fun old time rock music. the people were very extremely friendly, the owner even came over and chatted with us. but most of all, it seemed like everyone there was just enjoying themselves.

nice place. went here with my mom and sister and we all loved our meals. i got the burger topped with crab and it was delicious! my mom got the potato soup which i tried and it was great! my sister got the tuna wrap and she said she really liked it too! i will be bringing my boyfriend here soon!

watch the clock.. i came in here on a saturday at 4:30 and was told that i couldn't order off the dinner menu, as it was before 5. i thought that i might be able to wait until dinner service began, but the waitress wasn't too crazy about that idea either. so i ordered some sort of tuna wrap. though i could have made the same thing for myself in under ten minutes, this arrived well after 5 o'clock. i must admit that it was pretty good, if not especially filling (i could almost think that my waitress friend was looking out for my health, if not for the pint of salad dressing that the wrap contained).

i get that winston's is primarily a nightclub, and that i came in at an awkward time of day, but ordering your "dinner" from a surly cocktail waitress is always a tiresome experience. if i'm forced to eat in the greenbrier desert of dining again, i'd probably choose winston's over any of the other local spots, but i'd just as soon stay away altogether.

not too thrilled. my husband and i visited this place for the first time, tonight. though it was very cold out, the temperature seemed almost as bad inside. our table was right under the vent which was blowing cold air on us- so much that it was blowing my napkin off the table.
the restaurant seemed quaint and the waitress was nice enough.
my dish- blackened rockfish mediterrean-style was disappointing. the fish was not blackened by any means, there were loads of onions in the pasta, and worst of all: i found 3 bones in the fish...and not the edible type.
