this is among the best restaurants in montgomery county. service is friendly and the food is excellent. the restaurant is in a rather unexciting location, but we have never had a bad meal there. the soups, salads, appetizers, and entrees are all terrific - subtle, elegant sauces, nice presentation, good variety, and mostly healthy dishes. well worth it.

i have been going to this place since it has opened. i have tried many things on the menu and never had a bad meal. my favorite is the masaman curry but everything is delicious. the decor is elephant themed and the staff is always courteous and the owner a very nice person. i highly recommend this restaurant for eat in or take out.

the lunch special is the best bang for your buck just about anywhere! i love the thai green curry, especially, and the jasmine vegetable soup. i have seen some beautifully plated desserts come out, but haven't tried them yet.

white elephant is one of my family’s favorite places to treat ourselves to because it’s near our home. this time we celebrated my grandma’s us naturalization (go grandma!) with dinner. i tried everyone’s dishes and some desserts. the chicken pad thai ($13.99) is a classic; it’s my favorite thai dish. i’ve had many renditions of the dish at restaurants near home, in dc, london and elsewhere. we have pad thai at j street, our dining hall at gw and it’s way too salty. white elephant’s pad thai is consistently good. the contrast of the soft noodles with the crunchy bean sprouts is great and the chicken is always flavorful. the flower-shaped carrot garnish was a nice touch, as was the orange slice, which is refreshing after the meal.

great food & service! a quiet lunch getaway after a morning of philly traffic. the coconut soup, spring roll & pad thai were all freshly prepared and delicious. not fast food but very prompt service. a 5 star lunch spot!

delicious food. great service. a little pricey ( entrees average $20) but worth it. the moneybags appetizer was crispy and tasty. i had the heavenly fish('nuff said), and my mom had the pecan crusted salmon. will go again :)

try the duck. i'm not really into duck - but it's amazing here - very tender and full of taste. good service, nice setting, and good food make this one of our regular restaurant even though we have to travel a little to get to it.
