i love this place. the decor is so cool- there's a million different neat things to look at but it doesn't feel cluttered. the wait staff is on point and the food is incredible. i went there for the first time with a friend today and i plan to come back with my boyfriend on sunday. the margarita pizza was amazing, but so was everything else that we tried. my advice for anyone coming here is to get one of everything on the menu.

fantastic to have another unique restaurant join the midtown scene, especially this side of main. the food was great, though maybe a little on the small side compared to the price. large offering of drinks, good service and the interior, as the other reviewer mentioned, is really cool! definitely a great date spot, or work-break-lunch.

great business lunch

great place to have a business lunch near downtown. menu has nice and tasty options from salads, sandwiches to main entrees. service is attentive and food comes out quickly if it needs to be a short lunch. don't forget about the outstanding bakery for pastries and bread before you leave! will go again!

went there during brunch on sunday. had a reservation so we where seated pretty quickly. loved the pizzas we ordered and the apple drink i had. would go there again. but, wasn’t very impressed with the service for the price we paid.. would have given 5stars with the waiter didn’t keep making mistakes and also screwed up on the bill, which usually we never check.

awesome atmosphere, typically you need a reservation at this place. pastry looks amazing but didn't try. the salmon bagel was fantastic but it needed a little bit more red onion to contrast. bagel should have been slightly toasted for the texture to balance out the rest of the soft elements. the margarita pizza was delicious but the sauce had a little too much water she the cheese would come off in one bite. fresh basil on top was great. i would have liked a little bit more basil on top. comfy chairs and relaxed atmosphere.

weights + measures is located in what originally was an industrial warehouse in midtown, so it has high ceilings, is surrounded by windows and has a minimalistic design that gives this space a unique ambiance.

i went with my husband for lunch and we had a great meal in a very casual atmosphere while enjoying a great service. the lunch menu is pretty simple – salads, pizzas and sandwiches; nonetheless the quality of its ingredients is extraordinary. each and every one of the products they bring to your table is homemade and as a diner you can really appreciate it.

we had the burger, and wow, just look at the picture! the meat is cooked in a wood grill that gives it a delicious taste.

beside the excellent quality of their dishes and the great design of the place, what i liked the most is that no matter the time of day you go, they always have something to offer you.

a solid and most enjoyable breakfast experience. coffee from amaya roasters aka catalina coffee. and superb breads and pastries from the on premises slow dough bakery. beautiful interior. the kitchens and prep area are open. nothing hidden from view, which i appreciate and respect.

now, this morning, i had just opted for a simple paleo breakfast of in-house prepared country sausage with my coffee.

service was great.

and, plenty of parking so none of the annoyance of having to valet park (which i despise).

it’s been awhile since my foodie group and i planned an official foodie group gathering. we finally came together to try out weights and measures a newer restaurant in midtown. i had heard great reviews from a few other friends plus, the restaurant has been named to a lot of best of houston lists recently.  after stopping by last week, i would say it’s deserving of all the accolades.

when you first enter the massive modern space shared with the houston met rehearsal studios, you are slapped in the face with the most amazing smelling slow dough bake shop you've ever encountered. i did not buy any of the fresh bread or pastries, but darn it if i didn't want to instantly dive bomb into 7 different wonderfully aromatic baguettes. since they don't take reservations, we arrived 30 minutes before our intended brunching time, anticipating a wait. while we waited on our table (for about 30 minutes, nailed it), we sidled up to the bar and ordered some of the prettiest drinks i've ever seen.

weights and measures restaurant café and bar in midtown is a great new spot for families...! as you open the door, you are welcomed by the smell of fresh baked bread and a display of beautiful breads and breakfast pastries...their brunch menu has something for everyone for sure. you can also order a pastry from the shop if you choose to.
