it's back, hopefully for good. before wei wei closed, this was my favorite chinese place in town, now that it's back we recently went there the past week and rediscovered why we like this place so much! first off, you have to look past the outside, which is a circumstance of an old building and in ugly strech of reynolds road....once you go inside, the decor is somewhat tranquil and so contrary to the outside appearance. decor aside, the servers are always excited to see you and very friendly. the food is quite lovely (try the spring rolls, hot pot, and seafood delight), it is portioned very well and fresh tasting. the only complaint i would have is the soy sauce on the table, the containers are sticky and clearly are not cleaned very often (do yourself a favor, ask for packets of soy sauce). otherwise, enjoy!

not worth it.... the food was better than most around toledo. the upkeep of the property, particularly the inside, is inexcuseable. that's the impression they want to make? the reference to its rundowness is part
of their advertising. filled with asian people which is always a good sign i've been told. overall, would probably not go back.

best chinese food. i love this restaurant. i honestly did not even like chinese food before trying wei wei and now i am completely addicted. for any vegetarians, the crispy cilantro tofu is amazing!! and you have to try the fried banana, which i am fairly certain is friend cheesecake... : )

oddest greatest chinese in toledo. title says it all.

the waitresses are always amazingly friendly and awesome (when someone tells me i look like i'm from a movie star when they are an adorable clone of ziyi zhang they get my immediatly approval for that alone) and super suggestive about dishes.

the atmosphere is a complete mind twist too. on the outside it looks like a creepy ghetto joint or like it belongs in the dirtiest heart of china town san fran, but once inside it's a clean and cozy brick interior new table atmosphere. there are large tv's to pay attention to at either side of the restaurant, a huge tank with fresh lobster and fish selection. and the plates are always clean and very new. someone took time and love to make this restaurant.

as for the food it is deliciuos, authentic, and a rare find. like jing chuan they serve with the assumption that you share like in china. their tea is piping hot in expensive cast iron servers. it passes jing chuan in that in never dissapoints the staff will always check in on you but not crowd you.

dishes i reccomend that are amazing? the hot pots are all delicious and yes hot, don't touch them trust me on this. get the brisquet and tendon hot pot for a true taste of the asian continent. the tendons will be tough and chewy but absolutely leaking with flavor. ginger and potato seep through the meat and it's been slow cooked and prepared for hours for it to be as soft and tender as it is. there general tso's isn't the generic china house tso's you expect but a true gourmet meal. dumplings are small and homemade, and they have bubble tea.

for those who don't know what this odd asian serving is, it is exactly what it sounds like. bubble tea is tea with small tapioka bubbles that sink to the bottom and absorb the flavor of the tea and explode in your mouth when you chew down on them. it's an odd and fun thing to get that everyone should at least try once.

if you're looking for good quality chinese food, this is the place to visit!!!
