the moment i saw this place for the first time, i somehow got a real strong feeling that this place is going to be something different and unique. the location of this place and the way everything has been put together itself makes it a lovely place. i hardly got a glimpse of the name of the cafe, and i knew that i should be trying out this place soon. it was probably the name 'wagh bakri' that attracted me to this place the most.
after a very crazy day, not being able to decide where really to go, suddenly i remembered this place was on my wish list since long. we instantly headed towards this place.
the moment i entered the place, i fell in love with it. even at the outside of the place with a tea cup shaped clock on the corner, and the entire set up felt appealing. it is a rather huge place with everything so neatly organized and arranged. all the minute details like the lamps, clock and other places were mostly in the shape of a cup and saucer which was really interesting. the entire place with beautiful seating arrangement, other decorative pieces, the lights and everything about the place is really classy. there are coloured tea kettles kept on the display and also to serve tea to the customers in those. the colourful kettles are something extraordinary and creative. i even loved the idea of the hanging lamps which were cup shaped and also the clock inside the place. the overall look of the place is very elegant and refined. the minute you enter this place, you are in for a treat. there are board games kept for your entertainment. we ended up playing taboo and jenga for hours without even realizing how quickly time passed by. the best part about the place is that you wont be constantly disturbed by the staff or anybody for that matter and can just sit back and relax without being obliged to make an order or being pestered by anyone. there are normal chairs and table, then there are sofa sets on the right just as you enter and then there are long bar type chairs with a side table. every place looks equally comfortable and having changed seats twice, i am sure wherever you sit, you will easily be able to relax yourself. then there is a huge screen projector where some tv serial was going on. the ambience of this place is top notch and one of the best places to relax either with friends or by yourself. it would be an awesome place to just go read a book or work on that presentation with peace all by yourself. and in case you do end up feeling sleepy, hey its a tea lounge ;)
people who work here are super friendly, courteous and smiling. wont bother you time and again, and at the same time would be there insantly whenever called. almost everybody working here were really polite and charming, adding ten times more to the beauty of this place. perfect environment plus non grumpy people, what more could you ask for anyway :)
thanks to my insane idea of dieting, i decided to order a green tea for myself but to my delight bumped across something known as "diet green iced tea" and being a huge fan of chilled drinks, instantly decided to take that one for myself. my friend went for the elaichi tea and the service was rather quick considering that it was served within minutes of ordering it. it was one of the best tea she had and the quantity of the tea was mind blowing. she enjoyed 3-4 cups of that tea. it was served with a khakara. then came my super awesome diet green ice tea. i almost forgot about the diet thing when i saw the size of the ice tea and it looked like a normal lemon ice tea to my delight. it was served in a huge pitcher and i totally enjoyed every sip of it. yess it tasted exactly like a chilled version of the green tea, but with just two sugarfree sachets , the entire taste of the drink changed and it felt delicious. i drank it guilt free an happily and loved the idea of the chilled green tea. it is a great great change from the regular piping hot green tea which after a point you will get tired and sick of.
after almost an hour enjoying the elaichi and green tea, we decided to order the pink lady because the description that drink was pretty catchy. watermelon eing my favourite fruit , i was lured to order the drink when i read that it was all about watermelons an more and that chunks of watermelon would also be a part of that drink. the drink was very very nice an thirst quenching but sadly couldnt find watermelon chunks which i was actually looking forward to in that drink. but nevertheless, it tasted just wow.
i loved loved and simply loved the place for its pleasant and charming ambience, lovely environment, super polite staff, the board games, the variety of teas' available, well maintained and super clean area and mainly the different vibe of this place. yet to try the other things being served here, specially the bakery items but i am sure i wouldnt be disappointed. this place is definitely going to see a lot of me in the coming months :) and lastly, as far the the prices are concerned, every rupee spent is totally worth it! :)
