stopped by for a late breakfast at 11am. it was really busy inside, instantly a friendly waitress came up to us and asked us how many of us etc. seeing as it was so busy she said it would be best to go up to the counter and order and she would prep us a table from someone soon to be leaving. the line to order was long, so that worked out well for us. just a heads up it was quite noisy inside, it does have high ceilings but they play hip music quite loudly, loud enough so you have to talk rather loudly across the table at your companions. i always find that irritating so have scored accordingly. the food was delicious!!! i ordered the ora king salmon which was rye toast with poached eggs, a homemade pesto, picked beetroot, radishes and capers topped with wonderfully fresh, soft, silky, melt in the mouth smoked salmon. absolutely loved it and would order again. my partner ordered the overnight oats with chia. they were topped with coconut whipped cream and some fruit, served full to the brim with varying layers in a mason jar which they then serve to you with a cereal bowl alongside so you can pour it out and stir it to your liking. the only downside to this meal apart from a loud atmosphere was that our coffees, despite being delicious were the very last thing to arrive to our table and we also had to actually ask somebody where they were as it seemed like they were no where in sight. by which time we had finished both our meals and the dessert slice which we had ordered at the counter to drink after our coffees. the coffee was allpress and was a smooth, balanced strong espresso. well poured and well foamed. all in all, we probably wouldn't go back to vudu while it was as full as it was and would probably go back only if the cafe was half full and a tad less busy, simply because our coffees were pretty much forgotten about and the atmosphere is very noisy inside. the waitresses are friendly and the meals deliciously fresh and served very quickly.
