to sum it up i feel like the place lacks even the appearance of authenticity, so the "hipster" effect falls flat. the tagline 'fine tastes' is a bit presumptuous in my opinion.
although the service was gracious, the timing was wrong. jasmine tea and a pour over coffee was ordered, along with a roast beef sandwich, the sport breakfast plate, and a kasarli cheese toast. oddly enough, we finished half our plates before the drinks arrived, although those were ordered first. the tea came with a tiny hourglass for the perfect brew, but the coffee wasn't hot enough, so i think it sat around too long after being poured. the taste of the coffee was rather lackluster as well. the roast beef sandwich had hardly enough meat to qualify the name.
that being said, i loved the sport breakfast. i was happy to see something like that on the menu, because even though i'm eating low carb to lose vacation/bayram kilos, it was a rainy day, and i wanted something warm and satisfying…..not a salad. you could order a classic breakfast plate from any other restaurant and just eat the protein, but then you would waste the other items, and have to order extra eggs to feel full. this sport breakfast was perfect. it had loads of protein with a 3 egg omelette, smoked turkey on the side, and some delicious assorted cheeses, and cucumbers. i would return for that, and the friendly service…..thanks zomato for the coupon xo
